How POWERFU is the Devil in Christianity??

I have observed , with consternation that the Devil is accorded a prime position in the contemporary Churches , instead of Powers , which Jesus has wrestled for us by His sacrificial Death !!

It is not uncommon therefore, to withness a sizeable duration of a Church's Meeting devoted to "CASTING and BINDING" of the Devil. But what's the scripture saying about the Devil??

But be Sobber and vigilant because your enemy, the Devil is LIKE a roaring Lion looking for who to devour....1 Peter 5:6.

The Devil as described here is a pretender, acting like a Lion!

He is not a Lion which devours. He only drive FEARS by roaring into God's people. He had been stripped of all powers by the Cross at Calvary.

Nevertheless, his deceptions , by instilling FEAR are often acted out because......

"The things I FEARED greatly have come upon me...... (Job 3:25)

The Devil , just like an old Lion, keeps roaring. That's all he can do!! But as a Christian, be conscious of the fact that the one in you is greater than the the one in the World, talking about the Devil.

This was why Jesus pushed away the fearful and wailing masses before raising Jairu's daughter from the dead!!

Faith suppress fears as instilled by the Devil!

Faith is the connection link into the Godly Supernatural realm of Dominion and Exploits!!
This is why the Devil attacks your faith by instituting Fears!!

He knew , you become ordinary, ready to be destroyed without your faith.

He wanted to destroy Simon Peter by destroying his faith. But thank God, Jesus intervened to save Peter.!!

Simon Simon ; the devil desired to sift you like a grain; but I have prayed for you that your FAITH FAILS NOT ......Luke 22:31--32.

Know henceforth that the devil is impotent as long as your faith is intact.This is why he makes your faith his major target of attack , by deception. As long as your faith is in place, the devil must respect your zone. He knew you are reborn a King, not a servant to be toyed around!!

The summary of who you are and how to live it out in victory is as given in 1 John 5 : 4......and this is the VICTORY that overcommeth the World, through Our FAITH
