Giving up all to follow Jesus

Could you give up all and follow Jesus? Lets say you have everything in this life that you want ; fine automobile, successful in life , family, friends, home , financial secure, great status in your community, you could get anything that money could buy. Would you give up all these earthly possessions just to follow Jesus . No way on God's green earth that I could do this. It would be hard and almost impossible for anyone else to do this. So of you may say yes sure I could do this, For Jesus ? This may be not so easy as you think. Look at your situation now, and most of us are not in this situation of having it all, and its hard for us to follow Him with the little we have. Take Peter one of the twelve Apostles said Lord I will not deny you,and I will follow you wherever you go, And before he knew it he denied Jesus. Remember we can't do anything on our own it takes the power of God to sustain us, And this is the only way that we can give up all and follow Jesus, In other words we have to be a new creature in Christ. Then and only then can we say I can do all things through Christ that Strenghten me. He is my hope of glory. When we were born again we gave up everything to follow our Lord. ( Matthew 19 : 24- 26 ) And again I say unto you , it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 25. When His disciples heard it, they we exceedingly amazed, saying who then can be saved? 26. But Jesus beheld them. and said unto them, with men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
