The Holy Spirit

(1 Corinthians : 17- 21 ; For Christ sent me not to baptize , but to preach the gospel : not with wisdom of words, least the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto which are saved it is the power of God . 19. For it is written , I will destroy the wisdom of the wise , and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. 20. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21. For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.)Man believe he is so full of wisdom , and so smart. Paul is saying you don't need a lot of enticing words to try to convince people, just preach Christ being crucified on the cross , just keep it plain and simple. God chose the foolishness of preaching to confound the wise. It makes me wonder when I see some preachers trying to water down the gospel , and try to use enticing words just to make the gospel look and sound good to people ears, and to show people how eloquent they speak, and put on a show for them, God doesn't need a show He needs a sincere people to get His word out. God has chose the simplicity of preaching to gather His people into the fold. People have said the bible is old fashioned and contradicts itself , but if the people could see the power and the information it holds through spiritual eyes by the Holy Spirit. The people are saying show me then I will believe; but God is saying believe and then I will show you. Now you see how backwards man is from God.
