WHAT MAKES CHRISTIANS RIGHTEOUS.

WHY RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A MUST

God is light, and there is no darkness in him, therefore he that must come to him must be righteous. Unfortunately for man, we’re unable to obtain righteousness from our deeds because our souls and spirit were dead in sin.

This things look so simple to us when we read them from the scriptures, but it’s only by the spirit can one really understand the gravity of the fall of man and the great mystery surrounding redemption.

Before we continue with the issue of righteousness, I’ll love to point out how and where redemption really started, God had the plan of redemption in himself, and he also made available every tool needed for redeeming man, man has no input because he was dead and we all know that there is no power in a dead man to help himself.

Though men were alive in their flesh but they also were spiritually dead by being disconnected from God’s spirit that throws the light of life in man’s heart.

Until Jesus came, non was really righteous and non was really alive

God by election choose the nation of Israel to become his people or his inheritance which was also born out of his plan for redemption, but all through their lives, irrespective of all the rituals of purification found in the old covenant and through the law, non of the children of Israel was made righteous by those rituals done inside the holy of holies by the high priest once a year, and non was really alive because God had a plan to give life to everyone through Christ his son.

That’s one thing that old Israel 🇮🇱 failed to understand eventually when Christ came to the scene, they rejected the source of life thinking that there were already something that they were not just because they’re Abraham’s seed. And their unbelief brought a sharp contention between them and Christ.

They didn’t really understand that they were still not purged from evil conscience, how do we know? The scriptures tells us.

Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary. And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all; Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant; And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation. Hebrews 9:1-10

THE TIME OF REFORMATION IS THE TIME OF CHRIST WHICH WE ARE STILL INTO.

This topic is a very long one but we’re going to unfold them in sequence.

In conclusion, we should have it in mind that Christ is the only source of life, and any man that doesn’t have him does not have life, such individual will surely die in his sin and perish in eternity without hope, but blessed are they that believe in the Son for they shall be clothed with life and righteousness.

Then said Jesus again unto them, I go my way, and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go, ye cannot come. Then said the Jews, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go, ye cannot come. And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. John 8:21-24.

More to come later.
