MAKING A DIFFERENCE AS A CHOSEN
God’s Outstretched Hand continued.
Gen 1:14-18 “and God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years …. and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good” Verse fourteen starts with our position and verse eighteen our purpose. We have been set in the heavens as a sign, one that should lead people to God through His Christ. Verse eighteen tells us how we are to do what we have been created and made to do – to divide, place a distinct and undeniable difference between light and darkness.
Everything made is made to meet a need or to achieve a purpose, depending on how you phrase it. We too were not placed here by chance or at random. We did not happen to hear the message of salvation, and let Christ into our hearts by happenstance. While we might feel it was an act of chance, I am here to tell you that it was all orchestrated by God to get your attention. When you did, like Moses at the burning bush, you were given a particular life that sets you apart from the rest of the world.
We might look like the average person on the street, but do not be fooled by appearances. A Christian, you, are much more than the average person. We each have the vital life of God almighty coursing through every fiber of our being. We were created by God, through Christ to set and keep the divide between light and darkness in place. Each day, your life must announce to the world that there is a difference between those who are united with Christ and those who are not.
