We need to understand that God loves us and He wants the best for us. God wants to give us the best of things but most of the time we limit God by equating Him to man. We treat God based on our idea of how we have come to know humans. Humans have the power to give and withhold but God always want the best for His children and He said "...no good thing will He withhold from us..."
By singing the song mentioned earlier, you have caged God and you have resigned to "Whatever will be will be". Life won't always give you what you feel you deserve but what you demand. God wants the best for us and we are the ones limiting His manifestations in our lives. Saying "If God wants" is a little doubtful as to if He can do it. It is like not being fully sure of God's capacity.
Have you ever received a cheque before and you doubt if there is money in the account of the person that gave you? You go in faith knowing the person won't give you if there is nothing there? (I am not talking about defaulters or those who have been owing you and reluctantly wrote a cheque or post dated cheque). You go in faith and that is the same thing with God. God works with faith. The Bible says "The just shall live by faith". You will live by your faith and not by mine. You can draw courage from my own faith story but you have to build yours.
