How to Prove Demons’ Attacks and Hiding

하나님이나 귀신 등의 영적 존재를 믿지 않는 세상 사람은 말할 것도 없이, 세상의 창조주가 하나님인 것을 믿고 교회에 나오는 크리스천조차 귀신이야기를 꺼내는 것을 두려워하며 불쾌해합니다.

People, even Christians who accept God’s existence and come to church, are hesitant to talk about demons.

그들은 성경에 명백하게 나와 있는 귀신의 존재를 부정할 수는 없지만, 거룩한 교회에 어떻게 귀신이 범접하며, 빛인 하나님의 자녀들에게 귀신들이 어떻게 잠복하고 공격하느냐면서 손사래를 치고 있죠.

They don’t deny demons’ existence, for they are clearly stated in the Bible, but they do not believe these demons can take over their body and control them.

그리고는 아예 교회에서 귀신이야기를 꺼내지 못하도록 입을 막고 있어요.

The church doesn't’ even want to talk about these demons.

그래서 그런지, 유투브 채널에는 확인할 수도 없으며 증명할 수도 없는 귀신이야기를 하는 사람들이 호기심을 자극하며 인기를 끌고 있습니다.

Maybe that’s why there are a lot of videos on Youtube that speak about demons to tap into people’s curiosity; whether they are true is not really important.

저도 한몫 끼어서, 유투브 채널에 좌판을 깔고는 귀신이야기를 늘어놓고 있습니다. 그러나 사람들은 누구의 말이 맞는지 확인할 지식도 방법이 없죠.

I am one of them, talking about demons. But often, people do not know who is actually telling the truth.

그래서 쫀득쫀득하게 말하거나, 세간에 많이 유통되는 이야기에 숟가락을 얹어서 말하는 이들의 말에 점수를 주고 있습니다.

And people gather to these videos and stories if the videos are entertaining.

아니면 귀신을 축출할 때, 소리를 지르거나 몸을 뻗대는 동영상을 올려놓고 사람들의 시선을 끌기도 하죠.

Some grab viewers’ attention by uploading invocation rituals with people screaming and twisting, saying demons are leaving those people.

그러나 그들이 주장하는 대로, 귀신이 나갔다는 것을 무엇으로 증명할까요?

But how do you prove that the demons really have left?

솔직히 말해서 그들이 올려놓은 동영상의 주인공이, 자신에게서 귀신이 나갔으며 더 이상 귀신들의 공격을 받지 않는다고 인정하는 말은 없습니다.

No one from the video really says anything about what has happened to them AFTER the videos were shot.

말하자면 의사가 암환자를 수술하는 장면을 보여주고 암이 깨끗이 완치되었다고 말하는 것과 같아요. 암이 완치되었다는 증거는, 수술을 하고 5년이 지나서 재발하지 않아야 인정받지요.

That’s the same thing as a doctor recording snippets of him removing a tumor and declare the patient is cured. (Usually, you would keep an eye on such disease for a long while, even if it were all removed.)

그러나 이렇게 누구나 입증할 수 있는 방법으로 귀신의 존재와 공격을 증명하는 이들은 없습니다.

And no one logically proves the existence and their ruse.

우리나라에서 처음으로 귀신이야기로 유명세를 타서 대형교회를 이룬 성락교회의 K원로목사는, 귀신을 축출할 때 귀신들이 하는 말을 그대로 듣고 귀신론이라는 책을 썼습니다.

Pastor K, the first pastor to ever talk about demons, wrote a book about demonology by listening to what demons told him.

그러나 귀신들이 누굽니까? 거짓의 아비이며 미혹의 영이 아닌가요? 그런데 어떻게 그들의 말을 믿을 수 있죠?

Who are these demons? Aren’t they the spawns of Satan, the father of all lies? How can you believe them?

심지어 대적기도라는 책을 써서 베스트셀러가 되어 유명세를 탔던 J목사는, 평생 한 번도 귀신을 쫓아본 일도 없었습니다.

Pastor J, who wrote about praying to fight demons, never even have fought these demons in his life.

그런데 이들의 책이나 주장을 듣고, 사람들이 환호하며 구름떼처럼 몰려들었으니 기이한 일이에요. 그래서 오늘은 귀신의 잠복과 공격을 어떻게 증명하는가에 대해서 생각해보고 싶습니다.

But these people are all too popular. I’d like to talk about how to detect their attacks and hiding.

• 구약성경의 예

*Examples from the Old Testament

그 이튿날 하나님의 부리신 악신이 사울에게 힘있게 내리매 그가 집 가운데서 야료하는고로 다윗이 평일과 같이 손으로 수금을 타는데 때에 사울의 손에 창이 있는지라 그가 스스로 이르기를 내가 다윗을 벽에 박으리라 하고 그 창을 던졌으나 다윗이 그 앞에서 두번 피하였더라(삼상18:10,11)

10 The next day an evil[a] spirit from God came forcefully on Saul. He was prophesying in his house, while David was playing the lyre, as he usually did. Saul had a spear in his hand 11 and he hurled it, saying to himself, “I’ll pin David to the wall.” But David eluded him twice. (1 Samuel 18: 10-11)

거짓을 예언하는 선지자들이 언제까지 이 마음을 품겠느냐 그들은 그 마음의 간교한 것을 예언하느니라(렘23:26)

How long will this continue in the hearts of these lying prophets, who prophesy the delusions of their own minds? (Jeremiah 23: 26)

하루는 하나님의 아들들이 와서 여호와 앞에 섰고 사탄도 그들 가운데에 온지라 여호와께서 사탄에게 이르시되 네가 어디서 왔느냐 사탄이 여호와께 대답하여 이르되 땅을 두루 돌아 여기저기 다녀왔나이다(욥1:6,7)

One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them. 7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”

Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”

(Job 1: 6-7)

구약성경에는 귀신들이 많이 등장하지 않죠. 그러나 전혀 없는 것은 아닙니다.

There aren’t too many stories about demons in the Old Testament, but that doesn’t mean these demons didn’t exist.

그중에서 가장 많이 나오는 귀신들의 공격은 거짓의 영인 미혹의 영이 들어가서 거짓을 예언하는 거짓예언자입니다.

The most used ruse is to go inside someone and act as a prophet -- “false prophet” is the term used in the Bible.

또 다른 예가, 사울에게 악한 영이 들어가서 강박증과 정신분열 등의 정신질환을 일으켜서 다윗을 박해하고 죽이려 드는 사건이죠.

Another one is to cause mental illness in people; King Saul tried to kill David, due to demons whispering in his ears.

기가 막히게도, 악한 영을 하나님이 부리신다는 표현을 하고 있다는 점입니다.

But strangely, the Bible expresses demons’ work as if God commands them to do it.

하나님의 부하라고 말할 수는 없지만, 사람들에게 들어가서 죄를 짓게 하는 것을 하나님께서 허락하셨다는 것입니다.

They are not God’s servants, per se, but God did allow them to tempt people to sin.

욥기에 보면 사탄의 역할이 두드러지게 나타납니다.

That is specifically illustrated in the Book of Job.

하나님께 욥의 죄를 참소하며 그의 재산을 없애고 자녀들을 죽이며, 고통스러운 피부병을 일으키게 하는 등의 불행에 빠뜨리는 공격을 하고 있습니다.

Satan, under God’s permission, gets rid of Job’s assets and family; and he gives Job miserable skin disease, putting Job through living hell.

• 신약성경의 예

*Examples from the New Testament

그들이 갈릴리 맞은편 거라사인의 땅에 이르러 예수께서 육지에 내리시매 그 도시 사람으로서 귀신 들린 자 하나가 예수를 만나니 그 사람은 오래 옷을 입지 아니하며 집에 거하지도 아니하고 무덤 사이에 거하는 자라(눅8:26,27)

26 They sailed to the region of the Gerasenes,[a] which is across the lake from Galilee. 27 When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. (Luke 8: 26-27)

주여 내 아들을 불쌍히 여기소서 그가 간질로 심히 고생하여 자주 불에도 넘어지며 물에도 넘어지는지라 내가 주의 제자들에게 데리고 왔으나 능히 고치지 못하더이다 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 믿음이 없고 패역한 세대여 내가 얼마나 너희와 함께 있으며 얼마나 너희에게 참으리요 그를 이리로 데려오라 하시니라 이에 예수께서 꾸짖으시니 귀신이 나가고 아이가 그 때부터 나으니라(마17:15~17)

15 “Lord, have mercy on my son,” he said. “He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. 16 I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him.”

17 “You unbelieving and perverse generation,” Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.”

(Matthew 17: 15-17)

그 때에 귀신 들려 눈 멀고 말 못하는 사람을 데리고 왔거늘 예수께서 고쳐 주시매 그 말 못하는 사람이 말하며 보게 된지라(마12:22)

22 Then they brought him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that he could both talk and see. (Matthew 12: 22)

예수님의 공생애 사역은 귀신을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하며, 십자가에 돌아가심으로 우리의 죄를 용서하여 주시고 하나님과 화목하게 되는 길을 열어주시는 것이었습니다.

Jesus’ ministry was to cast out demons, heal illnesses caused by them, forgive our sins through cross, and reconcile us and God.

그래서 수많은 정신질환과 고질병으로 고통 받는 사람들이 몰려와서 치유를 받고 회복이 되었죠.

Many people were healed and restored their lives when they came to Jesus.

위의 구절에 등장하는 거라사인은 정신분열증, 간질병에 걸린 아이는 귀신이 들려서 그렇게 되었다고 밝히고 있고, 또한 귀신들이 감각신경을 파괴하여 기능을 상실하게 하여서 맹인과 벙어리가 되었다고 밝히고 있습니다.

The mad man from Garasa suffers from schizophrenia; the boy with epilepsy was possessed; blindness and deafness were caused by demons meddling with their nervous system.

그래서 예수님은 귀신들을 쫓아내고 귀신들이 일으킨 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하고 불구를 회복시켰습니다.

Jesus drove demons out of those people and healed those who suffered from illnesses.

예수님의 사역을 이어받은 사도들과 제자들도 예수님이 하신 사역을 똑같이 따라하였다. 그렇다면 귀신들이 잠복과 공격을 어떻게 증명하여야 하는지 아는 게 어렵지 않죠.

Apostles did the same, following Jesus’ footsteps. So it’s not hard to tell what you should look for, in search of the truth.

각종 정신질환과 고질병에 시달리는 사람들에게서 귀신을 쫓아내어서 질병을 치유하는 것으로 증명하면 됩니다.

You should look for proofs of healing people with incurable diseases caused by demons.

그러나 우리네 교회에서는 귀신이 빛인 교인들에게 어떻게 공격하느냐고 기이한 소리를 질러대고 있습니다.

But the church today say demons can’t get to Christians because they are the light and salt of this world.

그렇다면 교인들은 정신질환과 고질병에 걸리지 않습니까? 솔직히 말해서, 교인들이 하나님을 모르는 세상 사람에 비해 정신질환이나 고질병에 걸리지 않나요?

Does that mean Christians are all free from mental and chronic illnesses? Do Christians suffer less from illnesses than the non-believers?

그러므로 성경의 기록대로 귀신의 잠복과 공격을 증명하려면, 귀신을 쫓아내고 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하면 됩니다.

So if you want to prove what demons do, you can drive them out and heal people just like Jesus did.

이렇게 귀신의 존재와 공격을 성경에서 명약관화하게 소개하고 있는데도, 손바닥으로 하늘을 가리고 있으니 기가 막힌 일이죠.

It saddens me to see people trying not to see what I see, which is clearly stated in the Bible.

수많은 이들이 영성학교의 사역을 경계하는 눈으로 지켜보고 있습니다.

Many people are watching CSA with sharp eyes.

그러나 영성학교는 성경대로 사역하는 것으로 증명하고 있다. 확인하는 것은 당신의 몫입니다. 우리네 교회의 목사들의 말이 맞는지, 아니면 제 주장이 맞는지 말이죠.

CSA proves it to people by abiding by God’s words. It’s up to you to distinguish, whether I am right or wrong.
