Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Issue 42

in #chrome6 years ago

I apologize for being a day late with this issue. I am starting to realize that as the weather gets nicer, it is going to be more difficult to pull myself away on the weekends to write a new post.

Due to my desire to spend more time outside than inside, I am going to move Unlocking the Power of Chrome to a twice a week series and only post on weekdays.

I hope you continue to come along with me as I make this shift to establish some balance between all of the plates I have spinning right now.

On to the extension!

Privacy Badger

You can add Privacy Badger to your Chrome browser by visiting the Chrome Webstore here.

In the past I have covered extensions like Ghostery and AdBlock. Privacy Badger is created by the Electronic Frontier Foundation and is basically all of those other extensions rolled into one.

Privacy online is a big issue these days and if you aren't lucky enough to have a personal VPN, you can at least do your best to protect your browser.

Privacy Badger is a quick and easy way to block spying ads and invisible trackers that can be behind the scenes on many popular web pages.

If you are looking for that little something extra to protect yourself while browsing online, you should give Privacy Badger a try.

Oh this plugin I already use , I had installed it right after I saw it on EFF's Facebook feed I think. Must be at least a couple of years ago, I think. Great plugin!

Awesome! Thank you!

Awesome advice, but I usually just use Tor browser, plus is excludes all the annoying adverts and scripts that take a lot of my loading time.

Fair enough. I do a lot of stuff with Google Docs and that just seems to work better inside of Chrome since it is their product. Thanks for the comment!
