Cityscape Photography: panoramic view of Los Angeles from the Hollywood Sign
Hi there my Steemit friends and followers!
When searching for an entry for today´s #cityscapephotography contest hosted by @juliank, I stumbled upon this photo of me enjoying a panoramic view of Los Angeles.
This image was taken at one of the places that made the biggest impression on me there - the Griffith Park. Covering a total land area of staggering 1,740 ha, it is one of the largest city parks in the US and possibly in the world too. There are numerous hiking trails in the Griffith Park, ranging in length and difficulty, including several that lead to the famous Hollywood Sign. I took one of them but the best place to take a photo of the sign was full of people when I got there so I turned around and enjoyed that beautiful panoramic view of the city first. After some 20 minutes, however, I got to take some photos of the sign too. Here is one of them ;)

I'm not sure why but I've never been to Griffith Park @phortun even though I've been to Los Angeles on many occasions.
I've seen quite a few posts about it on Steemit though but never a cityscape. Looks like a great view! 😊
You should definitely visit this park on your next visit Gillian, it is an amazing natural getaway from the hustle and bustle of the 4-million metropolis ;)

Chápu, taky se mi pak z toho parku nechtělo zpět do toho mumraje čtyřmilionové metropole :)
Bohatě mi stačí, když občas jedu do Prahy ;-). Už po hodině se těším na náš les :-D

Já na tahle velká města moc nejsem, ale čas od času se to dá vydržet :D ;) Jak probíhají přípravy na vaši velkou výpravu? :)
No zatím nijak, nevím jestli se chlapec vůbec dostane kam je třeba :D má to těžký :) Co ty, jak užíváš ČR? :)
Já náhodou na toho Tomáše (Tomík na cestách) narazil už před nějakou dobou, pár mých FB známých ho sleduje :) Tak snad vám to klapne.
No tak teď přes léto to jde i tady v ČR, ale jak se začnou zkracovat dny, snižovat teploty a žloutnout listy, volání exotiky bude sílit :D
vypadá to nadějně, možná během pár dnů :) no já bych se jednou rád dostal do fáze, kdy budu moci být např. půl roku přes chladné období mimo ČR... :)
Jo takhle většinou fungují digitální nomádi :) Steemit by mohl být řešením, ale za trochu jiných cenových podmínek :D Tak držím palce s tou vaší expedicí, snad se tu ještě před tím stavíš a něco napíšeš :)
