Johann Schneider, Präludium und Fuge, g moll

Manuscript Mus. Ms. 30377, owned by the Staatsbibliothek Berlin, contains four Prelude & Fugues by Johann Schneider. In the manuscript they are called just 'Praeludium', but since the fugue-part of the pieces is very prominent, I decided to include it in the title. The Präludium in g moll is the third one. The fugus has a somewhat unorthodox structure, in that the fugue starts with subject and countersubject at the same time.

The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Bader organ in the Walburgiskerk, Zutphen.
