A litter picking walk around my local parks

It's beeǹ a bit chilly in the UK of late (commonly called brass monkey weather!) I needed an incentive to get out and have a walk. With this in mind I decided to do another litter pick! I grabbed a few bags and off I went.

I'm lucky to have a few parks near me to have a walk around. One of the parks have volunteers who go around picking the litter up about once a month. I did have a chat with one of the volunteers. She'd got a big bag full of rubbish already. This park is extremely lacking in litter bins but it's still no excuse for dropping litter. I found the usual stuff, cans, sweet wrappers, plastic and someone's legs!

Some of the litter had been thrown in the hedge. For some reason people think it's acceptable to hide it in the hedge. After going around the parks I headed off back home. The one good thing is that I found a 5p coin. Wow! I'm rich! Every little bit of money I find, I put it in a jar. When I've got a pound I buy a lottery ticket. First time I did it, I won £25! That's what I call Karma ☺.

I was able to put all the cans and plastic into my recycling bin. All the other bits I put in the general bin. Next week I will be cleaning up my local wood. Until next time steemians, put your litter in the bin. Let's keep the world tidy!
