Picking Up Trash - thanks for the reminder @cleanplanet, @quinneaker, and @gardenofeden!
I found out about @cleanplanet from following @quinneaker's steemy Panama adventures and his daily beach clean up.
@cleanplanet rewards people for taking care of our living Earth! And Quinn inspires us at the @gardenofeden to save literally hundreds of thousands of pounds of trash from the landfill cycle each year, salvaging perfectly good materials for building, gardening, and living a life of thrival! Even his awesome, thoughtful children do their part to pick up and prevent pollution!
Thanks to their daily trash pick up posts here on the steem blockchain, I thought hey that's easy and I can do more to help our planet too!
There is so. much. trash. even on the rural-ish streets surrounding the @gardenofeden.
It's really not that hard to grab a handful of trash while we're out so it doesn't end up in waterways or kill wildlife. In fact, some of the trash was actually trash bags, so we filled them up.
Thanks for the inspiration @quinneaker, @noki-power, @qiqi-power, and @cleanplanet - how marvelous that everyone wins!

I remember America got cleaned up basically with one commercial. Many here may not be old enough to remember the commercial (or state of the Country's litter problem, massive trash everywhere). .. but it was the one showing streets and waterways littered with trash, then an older Native American turning toward the viewer with a tear in his eye. What a powerful image and it turned the litter problem around, one person (person that had the idea for that commercial), one person at a time. We are far more powerful than they try to make us think we are.
