cPanel(WHM)是最好的虚拟主机管理工具，包括服务器设置、安全管理、账户管理等诸多功能，尤其是对主机商而言，大大简化主机商的日常维护工作，同时也给用户带来更佳的使用体验。

从2004年前后第一次接触cPanel主机后，我便喜欢上了这种便捷又强大的面板，相比之下，其它面板(Plesk等)简直弱爆了，而手工管理主机更好若回到石器时代。

到2004年年中，自己开始管理服务器，第一时间就租赁的cPanel(WHM)面板，当时$25美元/月的费用，对我而言还是一笔巨大的支出呢。

在后来将独立服务器从Theplanet迁移的SoftLayer，服务器也从一两台变成了八九台，每台服务器我都配置了cPanel(WHM)面板，加上当时手头还有几台VPS也用WHM管理，每月光cPanel(WHM)面板支出的费用就几百美元。

随着VPS对虚拟主机市场的冲击，我的用户也越来越少，服务器不断的关啊关，现在手头的独立服务器没几个啦，但是cPanel(WHM)面板一直用着，每台每月25美元的License费，心疼呀。

今天早晨收邮件，收到IBM的通知：cPanel/WHM - New Licensing Model with Price changes

仔细看了一下内容，原来是要开始涨价啦，部分内容摘录如下：

cPanel has changed their Virtual Private and Dedicated server monthly licensing model. They have decided to end of life (EOL) their Unlimited licensing model and replace it with a licensing model based on the number of cPanel Accounts.

Bare Metal Servers:
cPanel/WHM with Softaculous/Fantastico and RVskin Premier Metal up to 100 Accounts - $35.00

也就是说，原本不限制用户数的cPanel/WHM License 改成了有用户数限制的，其中最低档价格上调至$35.00每月。

哎，赚的钱越来越少，花费却越来越多啦，真愁人呀，看来真的是时候停掉服务啦。/(ㄒoㄒ)/~~
