Coffee of the World - El Savador coffee from the El Cipres Estate with me @c0ff33a

in #coffee5 years ago

El Salvador has been growing consistently good quality over the last few years, and I currently have green coffee stock from three different plantations. This green coffee from the El Cipres Estate is particularly, and is a new addition to my roasted coffee range.

The 60kg sack this El Salvador coffee ships in, we can also learn a little more abut this growing region.

Now, I roast the raw green coffee beans so they are ready to drink.

And they are good looking beans too, uniform size and shape so they roast evenly. It's interesting to notice the seam of chaff that is retained by the bean (the white line down the centre), very few coffee's retain the chaff this way - the most notable I remember is an Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

After grinding the beans, adding hot water in the Aeropress produces a delightful creamy colour bloom.

Getting ready for the plunge, this is my Aeropress at home - it's seen a fair bit of coffee brewing action!

And it's a bright fresh brew, in the cup we can expect Mandarin, caramel and red fruit - with a full bodied taste. It is super smooth as well, with very low acidity - quite delicious.

The greatest challenge we face on Steemit is getting our posts seen, I have always believed the simplest and best value way of doing this is by commenting on the blog posts of others, the more you engage people and interact with them the greater the chance they will visit your own blog and return the favour. Other then spending all my free time commenting on Steemit posts, I also distribute coffee roasting machines and also espresso coffee machines and roast my own Speciality Coffee Range. being one of the premium coffee suppliers Yorkshire including a wide range of filter coffee sachets

ah, I never knew there was such a thing as aeropress. We learn something new everyday huh?

I do love a good coffee myself, but my "good" coffee is limited to coffee shops and I have hear that it doesnt count oops
whats your take on that?

The Aeropress is manufactured by Aerobie - and you might know them better as an outdoor pursuits business that manufactures a wide range of products like throwing discs and balls. (see aerobie.com) The business owner and director, a keen outdoor pursuits person also has a love for coffee - and wanted a good way to easily brew fresh coffee while hiking and camping - and as he could not find something that suited his needs - he designed something! So the Aerobie Aeropress was born, the unique plunger system means all you need is ground coffee and hot water to brew fresh ground coffee - and using the plunger and finely ground coffee you can make an espresso grade coffee even! It is easy to use, and because the plunger forces all the water through the grounds - much cleaner then something like a French Press - because the waste grounds are nearly dry and you can just drop them out of the device into a bin.

You can make very good coffee at home, and often you do not need expensive machines to recreate the coffee shop experience. Good quality freshly roasted coffee, and a little research on suitable tools to recreate your favourite brew - and you can easily make at home coffee that is equal or even better then a coffee shop.

Well I just found out I made the 420 th vote on this post but believe me I am not 420😉.....
I could say you got more coffee update than wiki..👍

Congratulations, and thank you for voting on my post! While I do know a great deal about coffee, I think there is always more to learn!

I love reading your coffee posts. I used to watch the series on tv called Dangerous Grounds. I am sure you have seen it as it is all about coffee.

Thank you very much, I love that you enjoy reading them to! I can't say I have heard of Dangerous Grounds before - but I will make an effort to look it up now you mention it.

Dangerous Grounds is a fantastic series and there is more than one season.I actually think there are 3 seasons in total and it is all about getting coffee. He has a roaster and coffee business like you and this is what he does.

now you are getting closer to my wife's favorite beans
they are Costa Rican coffee

Thank you very much, Costa Rican coffee is very popular, although I only have a few origins available. I do not know why, but in the UK Costa Rican coffee does not sell so well. I mean that in terms that of all the coffee growing regions of the world I offer for sale - others are more readily purchased - people make up their own minds. So the coffee I offer is driven by what people purchase more then anything, but I would like to promote a few more Costa Rican estates because the quality of coffee is always very good.

Dude, i don't drink coffee, but you always make it sound like soft porn that beckons my palette.

One day I will convert you, it's just a matter of time!

All I'll say is MMMMM coffee... :)

Thank you very much, I just got a section of six new origins to cup tomorrow - looking for two out of them to be my lead coffee's for this spring.

Thank you very much, it looks like your coffee is very hot!

Nice post. That coffee, is it a seed or a fruit or a plant that have been remanufactured to powered form

Thank you very much, the green coffee beans I roast grow on a coffee tree inside cherries - two beans to a cherry. Coffee trees only grow in certain regions around the world (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_coffee_production), the coffee beans are removed from the cherries before being bagged into 60kg sacks - and shipped around the world for people to roast them.

Instant coffee is a powdered form of coffee - where coffee is brewed and then freeze dried into the granules that turn back into coffee when you pour hot water on them. (http://www.madehow.com/Volume-3/Instant-Coffee.html)

Have you found some coffee farmers from Indonesia on the Steem Blockchain yet? I came across some last year - perhaps you could trade in #steem / Sbd!?

Posted using Partiko iOS

Thank you very much, I purchase Indonesian coffee already, but I don't recall finding any farmers on here. @ecoinstant grows coffee in Colombia, but the problem is moving the raw green coffee beans - which are heavy compared to the actual value - so it becomes more expensive to ship small amounts then the product value is. Most coffee is shipped in containers from growing regions - and your average shipping container will hold 20,000 kilos of coffee - that's quite a lot of coffee!
