Hello Steemians!!

There are some exciting news today that we'd like to share with you!

1. Sparkpool Splits the 2100 ETH with Accidental Sender

So a few weeks back, someone accidentally sent 2100 ETH in Transaction fees by mistake, that's $300,000 Dollars in Fee alone!!! R.E.K.T!!!

But the story actually just had a good ending!

Incidentally, Ethereum mining pool Sparkpool is on the other end of the rekt moment and received the 2100 ETH for mining the block with that transaction.

Sparkpool has verified the accidental sender and agreed to split the amount.

In a message embedded in a transaction hash, the sender thanked Sparkpool for their integrity and agreed with the amount split.

Okay: Real Talk,

We're curious to learn more about the Steem community. Specifically, What do you like / don't like about CoinGecko.

What's some things you want us to improve on (something we're bad at) or what's something we should double down on (something we're doing that you like).

We're all ears.

It's great to have you posting useful information here!

What's some things you want us to improve on

I used to follow coingecko initially for tracking steem prices but later had to switch to CMC since CG includes volume from exchanges where there is zero transaction fee hence lots of spoofed prices .

I wrote about it few months back:

https://steemit.com/teamaustralia/@itstime/how-to-manufacture-a-steem-price-pump-here-is-how

I love that you are here and actively posting @coingecko. We need more crypto bigwigs here. I use your site to check prices and check exchange rates daily. I'm thrilled for your contests since I am a contest junkie.

I have no criticism. I like seeing posts like this one:

Maybe once a day or once a week with analysis would be helpful to all steemers. Many like me are very new to crypto only because of steem and any knowledge we can get helps.

I also think you told me you are in KL like me on another comment. I would love it if you would join @teammalaysia on their discord and come to our meetups and even organize some. Malaysia is a hotbed for steem and all things crypto from what I can tell as a long-term guest in this country.

If I am wrong about your location - please join the local community wherever you are. The personal touch goes a long way here.

I already voted for you as witness and I am tweeting this post to get others to come chime in :)

Nice news information. I was hoping to see the news of steem hiting $1

Hi friend @coingecko Wow !!! Good update.

Precious metal backed coins are security coins. You can move them around trustlessly but their representation of an underlying asset requires a huge amount of trust. Decentralizing everything can only take place if the physical world is controlled by software, too. That means that the police and the military need to be robotic and their operating systems decentralized if they are to be decentralized.

I can’t wait for metal backed tokens to become more popular! I am somewhat hesitant as the liquidity has not been very interesting for such a large potential market!
