Today, I pushed myself to climb to the top of the highest Dunes in North America.

It was extremely rigorous getting to the top but I highly recommend you push yourself to achieve it if you are in good health.

I am classically afraid of heights so this was a big accomplishment for me.

It was so crazy.

Right when you thought you were at the top, you still had another 4 massive hills to go.

I think this was definitely the most intense hike I’ve ever done.

I had to stop and take a break every 5 minutes as I got closer to the top.

@consciousangel7 and @ciontheemrald and I took a picture by the sign at the bottom.

Our room was simply incredible, we stayed at the Great Sand Dunes Lodge, an absolute must-stay-at if you are visiting the Great Sand Dunes.

It was essentially a very small but extremely nice hotel which was nestled right in between the Dunes and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

I hope you consider visiting this National Park eventually!

It will blow you away!

7,000 years of accumulation of sand, and it is so high that it intimidates even the most extreme hikers.

Definitely check it out if you get the opportunity! 😎

Very cool, driven by but haven't stopped yet. They are impressive to look at, I'm sure a challenge climbing. Maybe with a snowboard next time! I've heard they are big enough to board down. (Although probably trashes the board). Thanks for the hotel heads up. Definitely on our list.
