We continue our walks through the Berlin forest Grunwald!
This butterfly can often be found in the forest! Its bright orange stripes and white spots stand out among the green foliage like a beautiful flower! The name of this butterfly Red Admiral or Vanessa Atalanta.
The specific epithet Atalanta is taken from Greek mythology. Atalanta - the name of the Greek heroine-hunter who ran faster than all people on Earth.
