CĂLDĂRUŞSA, FLOAREA BETWEEN CASTELLES AND CROPS

It is one of the most elegant flowers in the garden and is of interest from spring until autumn. With this flower I grew up in a year when it was gone.

Caldera is a very beautiful decorative plant often used to embellish the gardens because of its unique appearance with beautiful colored and resistant flowers. The plant being very rare in Europe is protected by law. It can be found in pastures in the plains and forests of the mountains, in the subalpine area of Western Europe, at altitudes up to 2000 m, in parks, gardens or near old castles and mansions.

• In the people it is known by other names such as candelaria, five-bell, ax, five-tails and is part of the Ranunculaceae family.

• Caldarusa is a very beautiful but poisonous plant, which from a homeopathic point of view has several therapeutic applications. Its leaves are processed and used as a good remedy in the healing of skin eruptions.

There are other varieties of caldarus that have purple, violet, blue-violet, pink, white-green or white flowers. All are resistant to cold and short periods of drought. They can also be exposed in sunny places, but in the semi-shaded areas they make the most beautiful flowers. They are characterized by a short vegetative period, after 4 years they lose their vigor and need to be renewed to have the same beauty.

Do not be watered very much, only with small amounts of moderate water. Plant propagation is done by seeds that can be sown in spring or autumn in October. The soil should be rich in organic matter and have a coarse sand content to drain water. In the spring and summer months the soil can be fertilized with fertilizers containing nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus and trace elements (boron, magnesium, copper, iron, manganese, zinc) that have an important role in plant growth.
