ColorChallenge MondayRed - Janotova brv
This bright red sign tells us that we are about to step on the Janotova brv. Brv means a narrow footbridge in Slovenian.
The sign tells us that the bridge was first erected in 1194 and renewed in 2016. It is under the jurisdiction of Mountaineering society Komenda. It doesn't tell us who Mr. Jano was?
Let's take a look at the bridge itself.
Really nice, isn't it?
Congratulations to the builders.
This footbridge is crossing over the creek on a path from Jurčkova dobrava up to the Šenturška gora.
We crossed it during the annual barefoot walking event which is organized by the Komenda society. It was a pleasure to walk through these woods and over this bridge in a great company.
Nicely renewed footbridge crossing! Why is everone wearing just blue and red? Are these the colors of Komenda society?
Every participant received a t-shirt. Blue for men and red for women :) OK, there were some green and sky blue too. Leftovers from the events in previous years...
Check out this photo (which will be a part of a longer story about this event...):
Cool! Looking forward to the event story, too!

Ouch, bare foot walking in the woods - sound painful! I hope someone checked the bridge for splinters before you all had to cross it.
Super photo of the bridge, looks like a lovely wooded area to take a walk through.

Don't worry. All these folks are used to walking barefoot. And the planks of the bridge are in excellent condition.
Yes, it was a great walk.
Ps: our family is walking barefoot for at least three summers now. Soles are used to it :)
Oh, this brought me back in my child adventurous days. Most amazing.
Congratulations!
