Walking to the edge of the pit was a little scary, the drop off the side would not be something I would walk away from. But still, the view was too good to pass by. This shot is with visual light so you can get a better idea of its appearance to us.

Sorry for the smear on the lens, I dropped some sweat on my lens while changing filters and went unnoticed for awhile. I was sweating like crazy so go figure. All and all though I still wanted to include it, as the view is just as amazing as the rocks I found there.
