#ColorChallenge - Monday Red

in #colorchallenge6 years ago

Today marks the end of the seventh day of my #ColorChallenge. Thanks to @kalemandra for initiating this challenge.

The color red is often used in contexts of danger. Stop signs, fire extinguishers, and blood are all red. Yet, there are many beautiful things that are red as well: roses, watermelon centers, solo cups, the sunset, and more. I've learned through doing this challenge that common things, like ivy and plants, aren't often appreciated enough. Not only that, there are so many more so-called "mundane" everyday objects that I'm probably not noticing. I guess throughout this experience, I've found beauty, not in unlikely places, but rather in the likeliest of places. When you live in a place for a while, it's easy to become used to the environment and neglect the small details. It's through taking the time to pause and reflect that allows one to become aware of all the wonders in the surroundings.

If you've followed me through these seven days, thanks, and congrats! If you're just seeing this now, some time after I've posted this, I'm also glad you're here. Have an amazing week everyone!
