Color challenge: Happiness in Yellow
It was not usual to have sunflowers in our place, the lowlands. We only get to see sunflowers in Baguio City, where beautiful flowers are usually grown. But when we went to a Sunflower Maze in Tayug, Pangasinan, a nearby town, we learned that sunflowers can actually grow here. Yes, it doesn't need a cool climate to grow one as opposed to what I first thought of. In fact, it is conducive to a warm place as it needs lots of sunshine.
With that knowledge, my mother-in-law bought seeds hoping they would grow. And they did! Yey!
Look, here is the flower.
It only took a little over than about three months for it to show its big pretty yellow flowers.
This was just too good to keep by myself. I need to share it.
It doesn't really need a green thumb to grow one. Just a good soil and water with lots of sunshine and love. ^_^
She is growing new set of sunflowers again, as I told her they bring positive vibe in the home. It is therapeutic in a way. Like just by merely looking at them makes me happy.
Yes, there is happiness in yellow!
