Color Challenge - Yellow Wednesday - Foalfoot or Mother-and-Stepmother

In the first sunny days of spring one of the first spring blooming flowers is mother-and-stepmother. These shallow yellow flowers without leaves (which grows later) sometimes cover the ground with a yellow carpet. Therefore, it is not surprising that near them you can see bees, who after the winter hibernation flew for the first time to look for some kind of food. Nectar of mother-and-stepmother is great for this. However, not only are the bees flying to these flowers, there you can still see flies and other small insects.

У перші сонячні дні весни одними з перших весняних квітів зацвітає мати-й-мачуха. Ці дрібненькі жовті квіточки без листя (яке виростає пізніше) інколи вкривають землю жовтим килимом. Тому не дивно, що біля них можна помітити бджіл, які після зимової сплячки вперше полетіли шукати якусь поживу. Нектар мати-й-мачухи чудово для цього підходить. Проте не тільки бджоли прилітають до цих квітів, там ще можна побачити мух та інших дрібних комашок.
