Television Tower
What can point you to the skies better than a tower? I didn't participate in this bright challenge from @kalemandra for ages. And this day came! Happy FridaySkyBlue!
This is main Ukrainian television tower. The funny thing its construction was finished in the year I was born far away from it.
Today I see it from my window every morning, raising above thos38e brick building build right after the World War II.
Its height is 380 meters, nothing really special in it. Another thing is worth to mention: it was build without any bolted or riveted connection. Its parts are connected by means of electric welding. So, it is really unique as a highest tower of this type. Besides, it still the highest construction in Ukraine.
It was build without a help of helicopter, but by growing it from bottom to up. The upper parts of the structure were raised on powerful jacks, and the following were started. Here are a couple of old photographs:

In 2018 analogue broadcast television was stopped. But the tower is still in use. By the way, you can get up to its top by the elevator that would raise you with the speed 4 m/sec! I have never been there, but my husband works in telecommunications, and he was there.
Speaking about me, I just made another walk to take more photos for my post :)
