Der wohl berühmteste Markt in Wien. Was mir gerade aufgefallen ist: die Preise werden hier je halbes Kilo statt per ganzem Kilo angegeben, damit es vielleicht billiger wirkt als es ist 😄
The most famous farmers market in Vienna. What I have just noticed is that the prices are given per half kilo instead of per whole kilo, so that it may seem cheaper than it is 😄

Glaube ich nicht. Obst und Gemüse werden traditionell nach Pfund verkauft. Alte Knacker wie ich können sich darunter halt was vorstellen. Und ein Pfund ist eben 500 g, wenn es metrisch angepasst ist. Das historische, mittelalterliche Pfund in Deutschland schwankte je nach Ort +/- 10% um ein halbes Kilo.
Heutzutage müssen es eben genau 500 g sein, weil 1 lb nach dem deutschen Einheitengesetz nicht geschäftsfähig ist. Die 500-g-Preise sieht man häufiger, es ist Dir bloß noch nicht aufgefallen. Vielleicht auch, weil die Praxis in Österreich etwas weniger verbreitet ist. Ihr seid halt moderner ;-)

haha, ganz geiler Trick - ist wie hier in der Dom Rep. Die Angaben erfolgen in libras was ungefähr einem halben Kilo entspricht.

Maybe it could be some sales strategy, I've never seen a market implement prices this way, but it might work for buyers. I can see that everything is very varied.

Ach der gute alte Naschmarkt in Wien.
Da gibt es wirklich verdammt gute und bei meiner Wahl meist leider auch ungesunde Naschereien. Also besser für mich wenn ich dort nicht so oft hingehen wenn ich in Wien bin. 😅
