I didn't even know who he was until one night during the election he said Assange was going to hold a video link up new conference to a major announcement during the election. He was promoting it as more email releases of Hillarys. I sat there for two hours watching this show and all it was about was the twentieth anniversary of Wiki Leaks...talk about a huge waste of two hours. I knew he was sort of a conspiracy nut but never paid any attention to him before that, not much into conspiracy stuff. Personally though on this matter he got what he deserved. They asked him to tone it down and he went and posted a video of a guy who a kid tried to shove then slapped get grabbed by his throat by the guy and face slammed into concrete, as the video fades out a message said stop liberalism use a condom. It was meant as a twisted joke in jest but that's pretty serious slamming a kid to the ground. I realize he has to stay relevant on the internet with so much competition but that was going overboard. I watched another of his video's that got banned and the opening was offensive to Muslim but to be quite frank the message involved deeper into the video I basically had to agree with. My take is like this, people get sued all the time for providing the venue or outlet where harm is done to other people though they weren't directly involved, take Mandalay Bay lawsuits as a recent example of that. There is no way they could have seen that coming, especially being in a business where bringing luggage in and out is a normal process. What are they suppose to do go to searching everyone's luggage? It's not like they didn't give him fair warnings either, he ignored them, but competition is tough on the net and going to the extreme to stay above the fray can result in someone getting harmed, especially when some of those people following you already are living on the fringes.
wow sunlit7 you write some great replies! yeah he has always been on the edge and shocking people but of course like you know, that's how he grew his company. like a radio shock jock or something. I used to watch him for the entertainment value but haven't for years.
I understand that, look at Howard Stern, he's despicable with the stuff he says about women and how he treats them, he has always been called a shock jock. Even on people like that there is limitations. One time back when he was on late night television he was all about this woman's ass, he asked her if he could see it, of course being television there was no way they could just expose someone's ass, so he walked her down a hallway and they went in a room and did it. He'd been thrown off the air if they'd showed this woman exposing her ass to the world on television. When you look at Stern as a example he moved his radio show to Sirius (I think that's the name) radio because they allowed him to do or say things he wasn't allowed on traditional television or radio. All the stuff Alex has said and done has never gotten his removed, I don't called that censorship anymore then Howard having to abide by certain criteria, for the most part he lived on the edge, it wasn't until he went over it that his patties got slapped just like Howards would have if he people stripping down on live television. I agree, if he wants total ability to do as he pleases he should move onto Steemit.
I think it would put steemit on the map for a whole lot more people since he has millions of followers, that would give steemit the population boost that they say they need.
