A Champion's League Football Experience( Comedy Open Mic 39)

Yesterday, i went to the football field in order to watch a Champions league game between my team AEK versus AJAX. Although i am not a big fan of football for many reasons AEK is the team i supported throughout my life, i like the history behind the team and when i have the chance and the games are serious i may go and watch them live.

I should also mention in order to give you the full picture that AEK due to many problems went 2 leagues down and managed to get back in premier league and take the first place and trophy the previous year. It also had around 20 years to get into UEFA Champions League so all the fans were more than happy and in every match the field was packed. I will tell you the story a bit comically but i will highlight some serious issues that not only hurt football but are a sign to why the world is fucked up and will keep on the same route.

The Call

It was late in the morning while my phone rang but i didn't pay a lot of attention and slept again. I had 2 more calls when i decided to finally check who it was. Apparently, it was one of my uncles and told me if i wanted to go with him during the afternoon to watch the game. I asked him why my other uncle can't come and see said, cause he is working till late

To give you the full picture 2 of my uncles are "heavy supporters" of the team and have bought season tickets, one each. Till now they haven't missed a game but as i mentioned that day one of them couldn't come (and he is way more of a "fan" that me or my other uncle). I said ok fuck it let's go cause i had 3-4 years to attend in a match and i had never went in a Champions League much before. My uncle said that we gonna leave from our homes 2 hours before the match starts (wtf 2 hours? i thought, we are just half way there!)

Outside The Court

As i said it only took half an hour to get there. We reached the stadium at 6:25 and the match would start at 8. I asked him "wtf are we gonna do 1 and a half hour outside in the cold?". He smiled with attitude and told me "hehe what we always do, there is a plan, follow me". I followed him and we walked for around 10 minutes and there you have it, a huge ass Mall!

The "plan" that my uncles follow everytime is to get on the Mall, check the stores, walk a bit and then sit in a cafeteria drink their coffees or whatever else and around half and hour before the match starts they go to validate the tickets. That's exactly what we did, so free coffee for me in a warm place :P

Not Bad ha? The fun had just began!

Inside the Court

When it was about to go and validate our tickets i asked him what exactly i do cause we are talking about a more serious game, the team had some financial loses and restriction due to fan's fighting and i also had 3-4 years to attend to a match so i didn't know what changed. He told me we just go through that iron door show the ticket they scan it and that's it.

So i went showed, the ticket, the person there scanned it and that's it. Then i wondered: "Wtf i wrong here?" "I just had the ticket of another person, with another name written on it and they didn't even bothered to ask for ID and stuff

I could have easily stole that or "forced" someone to give it to me and inside the game i could even harm someone and if let's say the authorities wanted to find the guilty by the sit number and then by the name of the ticket they could have the wrong guy. What measures are those?

Also, the funniest and saddest thing was that there was no police check. When you passed that iron door you were good to go. I could have knives, guns, poison, grenades even poisonous/venomous animals with me :P and nobody would noticed.

The Game Starts

The spots were great but as soon as we got there i noticed 2 fatasses sitting right in front of me having that fucking vape machines and each time they used it all the fucking smoke came at my face. It smelled nice but it was like someone throws a smock screen directly at me. Then i noticed something funnier. They had bought 3 tickets in order to fit in :P They had a fucking empty chair between them and each of them had around 1.5 chairs for themselves :P At least that was a sign of politeness in order not to annoying the people sitting next to them.

When the game started i remembered all the reasons as to why i don't go to the court! One person right next to me starts screaming:

"I LOVE YOU AEK I LOVE YOU, GOO TEAM"

1 minute later

"Go Guys Go Player A You Are The Best, Fuck Them, FUCK THEM"

and when that player lost the ball

"WTF YOU RETARD! Kick him Out Of The Team, FUCK YOU, YOU STUPID KID"

Now multiple this x 10000

The next thing i always hear are the "experts". Those are the fuckers that yell to player as to what they should do and move and act like coaches even though they have no idea what they are talking about. When the players does something different they start the "FUCK YOUR MOM" insults cause the player is supposed to listen to George's guidance as well as the rest of different screams from the thousands all around the court. THEY DON'T FUCKING LISTEN YOU GUYS, DEAL WITH IT!

The final Outcome

A little before we do a stupid move and lose, where the Ajax fans located, there were around 100 fans of another Greek Rival Team. Those dumbasses along with some of the Ajax fans started throwing Molotov towards the field and some of the AEK's fans. Soon enough the police got there and hit some of them and around the second half 4-5 retards of the hardcore AEK's fans did the same to them.

In other word we have a packed stadium with way too many fathers with children and a handful of retards starting to throw things at each other just because. If we see it from another perspective though, we can say that this was a theatrical representation of how neanderthals gave fights back then!

When Ajax scored again around 75th-80th minute, my sentimental uncle told me "ok now we leave". "But we still have 10-15 minutes left, let's watch it" i said. "No No get your things, we are leaving, there is no hope, we lost with FUCKERS THAT CALL THEMSELVES FOOTBALL PLAYERS. FUCK THEM AND FUCK THE MANAGEMENT, THEY SHOULD KICK THEM OUT OF THE TEAM, FUCKING SHITS.

At  the very least i watched a football game like that for free and drank coffee for free as well, so i won!

So much profanity over a game you were supposed to have fun watching... the things elaborated here are the exact reasons why I don't go to sports events.

you were supposed to have fun watching

just like you said it... i was supposed :P

I don't know if I should laugh or cry. Don't get me wrong, it's a great entry to the openmic but as you said you highlighted several issues that are not to laugh about.

I will not lie when I say that I'm afraid to go to a football match. People there are very often so aggressive or simply following an aggressor like a sheep. With my luck I would probably be punched in my face not knowing how it happened :D

In Slovakia we say that if you're looking for the most qualified experts in any field you should go to a pub and there are many of them ready to share their stories with you :D It looks like the same applies to a football match.

I'm happy for you that you got a free ticket, free coffee and that you didn't get hurt :)

Have a good day!

yep that was exactly what i wanted to pass!

i have been in slovakia for 1 day, in bratislava to be exact! they informed us that we should mostly move around the castle in the historic center cause if you go a bit more far your safety isn't guaranteed :P (i don't know whether that's accurate or not) but the castle and the historic center was awesome!

I will not lie when I say that I'm afraid to go to a football match. People there are very often so aggressive or simply following an aggressor like a sheep. With my luck I would probably be punched in my face not knowing how it happened :D

i happen to live in the west side of my city and as everywhere west side means the worst. Among the worsts we have the fanatic retards of the teams. I happen to know so many cases that people got hurt because of that and to be more specific let me tell you a single event :P

There was a match between 2 rival teams, imagine the number 1 with the number 2 and if the second one won the game he would take the spot of the first one. so we are talking about a derby. After the match ended and the second one won the fanatics of team 1 got into the train and went to each person to check if they wore a t shirt of team 2 or if they had a phone theme of team 2. If the answer was yes they beat the hell out of them.

Imagine the level of stupidity here.

That's why when i go it's by car :p

That is so not true :) Even I don't mind walking in Bratislava during the evening. Of course there are places which you should not visit but it's like in every single city. And it's definitely not all places outside of the city center :) HOWEVER, when you visit Slovakia next time, don't stay in Bratislava :) Go to the middle of the east part of country. The landscape is beautiful and people are very friendly :)

I hate these fanatics! They take all the pleasure out of watching the sports. In Slovakia (sorry for the reference again), when there is a match between two particular teams, the fans get designated trains and there is police all over to prevent this. They used to attack normal passengers too so the decision was taken to give them a separate train, lol.

sorry for the reference again)

don't worry i really like learning what's happening in other countries by locals and not media :P

thanks for the tip, not in my immediate plans though but if i happen to go i will do what you said and let you know.

the fact that we have the police worry for shits like that instead of catching thieves is frustrating. I would use drastic measures if i was president of a country. no police in the fields and everything it's on the team
