New COMICS & TOYS this week at Comic Shops!!! 11/28/18

Before I start showcasing the usual weekly drivel to the regulars here, I’d like to say hello to any of the new folks that we’re kind enough to throw a follow my way. I met a ton of amazing new people this past week at SteemFest in Krakow and a lot of them might be lost here. Basically every week in the comic world, a slew of new products ranging from the obvious comic books to statues and action figures, puzzles and mugs, and so much more, make their way onto store shelves across the globe. I compile all the new stuff into one handy post weekly so those that are interested can keep up to date with everything for that week. It’s kinda known as New Book Wednesday amongst us and folks are rabid and come in immediately each and every week to get their fix.

Most comics especially from the big 2 publishers known as Marvel and DC are either bi weekly or monthly simply meaning new issues release every 2-4 weeks. A lot of the smaller Independent companies try to keep up to that pace but more often than not, there are delays. Either way, each and every Wednesday, expect a new chunk of goods to hit store shelves at comic shops everywhere.

Ok let’s jump right into things. With Marvel, the standout cover is the variant for Amazing Spider-Man #10 by J. Scott Campbell. That’s the Purdue book on the thumbnail above. Not only is it featuring Black Cat front and center, but Campbell is one of those most popular and in demand artist of the past decade. His stuff is pure 🔥. Be sure to snag a copy.

Fantastic Four #4 is sure to do well as I think the team is actually finally back in this one?!? Daredevil continues its countdown to The Death of Daredevil with several snazzy covers. Black Panther, Spider-Gwen, & Uncanny X-Men all have a new ish. Riri Williams attempts to carry her own title with Ironheart #1. Lastly I’ll mention this week’s copy of Old Man Hawkeye #11. It has a new 1st Appearance in it. It’s got only 1 cover. Most likely will be under ordered. Go snag one for the $3.99 and tuck it away. If people like the new character, could do something $$$ wise.

DC throws out a solid lineup this week. Aquaman/Justice League Drowned Earth kicks off with its new #1. Mainstays like Action Comics, Detective Comics, and Titans hit the shelves. A beautiful Batgirl Josh Middleton cover dazzles once again as she tips the scales of justice. Oh, and Jenny Frison does her usual tastiness with a stunning Wonder Woman.

Indy! Throw me the Idol Indy! Anyone? No? Nothing? Fine...on the Indy front we have a few cool additions. Netflix’s smash hit Stranger Things has It’s 3rd issue released. For funny ass cartoon books...Regular Show, Rick & Morty, & Invader Zim are all in and are sure to deliver a few laughs. Image also pumps out a slew including Redneck, Regression, & Kirkmam’s Own Die! Die! Die!

As for the miscellaneous merchandise, it’s actually a quiet week which is absolutely positively welcome. Each of the past 5 weeks, our weekly shipments were huge meaning our bank accounts were drained. I love these types of weeks as it gives us a bit of breathing room...as long as the regulars come in.

I think I can actually list everything here instead of just picking a few highlights. That’s a first! So for this week we got a bunch of NFL Funko Pops in to tickle your fancy. If video gaming is your thing, there is a handsome looking Hanzo Overwatch Statue. On the topic of statues...DC Collectibles drops a Bombshells Batman & Catwoman piece whole Diamond Select Toys gives us a sweet Magneto. While I’m mentioning Diamond Select, they also popped out a cool Muppets Swedish Chef figure. Lastly we have a Monsters Inc. Sully Nendoroid from the Good Smile Company. That last piece will be gone an hour after opening on Wednesday. I have a dude who buys any Disney Nendoroid upon release.
