It was indeed fun and very interesting to meet another (actually two as you mention in your post and we later found out) steemian in real life!!!
I want to thank for this meeting not only because I learned a lot but also for your trust. You were meeting a total stranger. A crazy German in The Netherlands writing for cryptos :)
And I want to thank you for this post of course!
I thought about writing about our meeting, too.
What stopped me doing this were two main reasons:
I'm honored that a steemian with your reputation (and I'm not talking about this calculated number next to your name) took the time to meet me and write a post about the meeting.
It really means a much to me.

LOL! Yes, of course you can write about the meeting, would be fun to read how you experiences of this huge adventure - I honestly didn't realize it was a new experience for you and I honestly didn't think too much about it because I'm always like 'hell yeah let's do a coffee!', except of course this was the first time with a crazy German in The Netherlands who walks his dog and then writes about it ;-) Hehehe. But the trust was a two-way street and I'm super glad you decided to just ask :-)
It was lovely to meet you and we will meet again someday :-) I don't know what 'reputation' means exactly, we're only humans trying to make people believe we're something special :')

It is indeed a small world. I'm hoping to meet up with some steemians once back in London/UK.

It is! Meeting people IRL also makes you aware of the value of all the relationships we build up here :-)
We are going to organise a steemit meetup in Cambodia next year if anyone is interested, come check out Angkor Wat Temple and meet some fellow Steemians.
If anyone maybe be interested, please contact me as we are going to start working out details soon. The more the merrier, and the more grand we can make this event!
The plan is to book out an entire hotel just for us Steemians, which will not be hard or expensive to organise here. Your biggest expense will be the flights(you can easily spend a week here cheaper than a return flight from anywhere in the world) and once your here everything is cheap! And some places (including our bar) will even let you pay in steem!
You know you can contact me once the details are finalized! If I'm able to fund the trip from Europe I will come for sure :-)

Indeed it is a small world. But that's how is goes and I think is a constructive way to promote steem :) Making others enthusiastic :)
It is! Meeting up and sharing your stories and actually seeing the energy one has for Steem is amazing and enriches your experiences a bit more as well :-) It makes it hard to leave the place as well, so it's a great way to get people to stay on Steem forever :')

The world does seem to get smaller! So cool that you got to meet more Steemians in real life. I have been talking about this platform to a lot of people. Though except three persons that actually registered and blog once in a way, the rest did not seemed interested and still hang out on FB.
