Crossing Borders with @socalsteemit

This week's Teh Tarik Sundays, it is my privilege and honour to be able to invite @derekrichardson & @mariannewest to our talkshow. This will be our FIRST EVER cross-country special guest on Teh Tarik Sundays.

The founder of @socalsteemit, @derekrichardson was graceful enough to spare his time and not to mention the earliest of mornings, 7.00am (timezone problems) to come on the show to share his journey as a Steemian and how he started the South California Team. Tagging along with him is also a VERY prominent Steemian and I'm sure you've heard of one of her many initiatives here is the none other than @mariannewest. @mariannewest leads the San Diego County region and when she's having a little time of her own, she does her Freewrite initiative. Yes! You heard me correct, the founder of the 'Freewrite' that many of you are involved in is coming to our show.

This will be EPIC!

Why do I say so? Heck! #teammalaysia is expanding their borders to connect with International Teams and I'm so excited to have @socalsteemit with us. Isn't this what Steemit is all about? Community engagement and building friendships without borders?

We will definitely be hearing @derekrichardson and @mariannewest share their experiences, joy, fun and hardships when growing a community. I'm sure there will be many stories shared on Teh Tarik Sundays tonight and I hope that we can come and give them what we do best, A Warm Malaysian Welcome!

I won't share much and spoil it all for you all so I better stop here.With this, I can't wait to see you all on Teh Tarik Sundays this Sunday, 10pm(GMT+8) and there will be a livestream up an hour before the show begin. Trust me, you don't want to miss this. :)

What is Teh Tarik Sundays?

It is the FIRST talkshow initiated by @branlee87 and @zord189 with the support from #teammalaysia witness & lead, @bitrocker2020 exclusively for #teammalaysia members to gain exposure for their posts.

Why Teh Tarik? Because its what we Malaysians drink at a mamak stall when we hang out with friends. Here is what is going to happen on Sunday Nights :

Everyone is invited to join the Teh Tarik voice channel on Sundays at 10:00 pm.
Everyone is given a chance to promote a post.
You do not need to be the author of that post as you can promote your friend's post or a very interesting post for everyone to see.
During your sharing, the post promoted will be shared in the Kopitiam channel for everyone to see. You will also get extra exposure. Your post may even be rewarded.
Only the Moderators and Authors are allowed to speak in the voice channel. The listeners can and should engage in the Kopitiam Text Channel.

Teh Tarik Rewards!

Yes! @branlee87 and I have decided to award Authors and listeners who join our Teh Tarik Sundays. We have decided to give out rewards to the following two :

New Authors who come on the show to share their post.
Listeners who participate and asked the Best Question. 1 winner per post.

New Authors will be receiving 0.2 SBD. Best Question will be receiving 0.2 SBD.

How do I participate?

Contact @zord189 on discord to register your slots!
The moderators will dm you when it is your turn.
Every author will be given 1 minute to promote the post and 2 minutes for Q&A.
Each author will have a maximum time limit of 5 minutes only.
Post must be no older than 3 days old.
Slot registration works on a First Come First Serve Basis. Limited Slots Every Sunday.
Make sure you have a microphone.
Moderators will DM you for a soundcheck an hour before the show starts.
