What technology is the most rapidly developing now? If you answer information technology, your answer is the same as my answer. We now find gadgets with various types, features, and facilities, as well as millions of applications that can be accessed and used, both for learning, playing, as entertainment facilities, or even means of communication and information. In addition, even with the gadgets we have, we are free to surf in cyberspace, where millions of information we can access in it.

However, behind the great success of information technology, there are quite serious impacts on us. What is the impact? We have difficulty concentrating.

There is no need for in-depth research and research on this. Just pay attention to what happens to yourself, whether by surfing the internet, or using a gadget, you get as much information as you want. Or, instead, you just jump from site A to site B to site C to site A again, and so on without getting any information.

I often make small surveys by paying attention to the profile picture of friends in BBM. I observe their activities on BBM within a certain period. Do you know what they do? There is a group of people who change their profile picture every 5 minutes. Now they replace their PP with picture A, five minutes later, the PP has changed. And, after 5 minutes, change again, like that so on.

I was once caught in such a habit when using a gadget. Not finished opening the photo folder, has switched to whatsap. Not yet finished opening whatsap has replaced the music application.

And, like when using a gadget, when surfing the internet multitasking habits like "recurrence". Having not finished accessing a site, have moved to site b to find other information. Not finished accessing site b, move to site c. So on. Not to mention FB status updates, reply to the person inbox at BB, FB, email, comment on the status of the person, and many more.

And, to me, honestly, such habits are very disturbing. Time is confiscated only to do multitasking, which is not clear. Get information, no, you can chat intensely or not. Anyway it's not clear.

So, what about the impact on you? Can you concentrate when using the internet and gadgets? Or, are you the type like me, who is easily distracted by the temptation of gadgets and the internet?

Well, if you are the type like me, then there is no harm in you looking for ways to stop the bad habits; Eliminate multitasking habits when using gadgets and the internet, and increase concentration.

What is the key to staying able to concentrate in the midst of the tempting information flow? Hmmm, when talking about concentration, of course, meditation is the answer.
