The exchange is very odd and Roseanne was going around stumping for odd things at least a few years back.
Wow the rate that this happens among celebrities and musical artists is staggeringly suspicious. I have a theory that talent scouts employ this contract with the devil scheme in order to psychologically pwn their talent by playing on their superstitions. Or if you will, a very high tech form of gaslighting + murder.
E.g.
Label: Just sign this contract in your blood saying that you will do a blood sacrifice of your best friend.
Artist: I will do no such thing!
Label: What we will do is a music video, in that video your friend will die of a gunshot wound.
Artist: Oh okay then. He signs.
Years later, the friend dies in the way that the video had predicted. The artist is now living in fear and guilt. S/He is highly compliant to the whims of his label and terms of the contract. The celebrity is now owned for life and handled by his or her guilt and fear.
Bob is one of the oldest touring musicians, I wonder if he ever gets sick of it? Whatever the big boss wants the big boss gets I suppose.
Ultimately life is life and we're in it until the end. That is when we all fall down, like toy soldiers.
I would think there are a few mechanisms. Things have been going downhill for a number of years now. At least since mass media.
There is a video of the director of the Exorcist saying that the little girl aged between 8 and 12 pretty much saying she adored degeneracy.
I don't doubt that talent agents, directors, etc. are these types of people too. The industry is also an oligarchy and always has been. Hollywood was mostly Eastern European and Russian Jews excepting for Disney at the start..
Oh yeah, the trauma based mind control and grooming
that they do to children is an entirely different animal.
Some really shady stuff goes down in Hollywood. Pretty

With the multiple personality disorders and whatnot and
contracts with the devil. Such strangeness for a kid to get into.

In Kindergarten or First Grade, they selected the kids in my graduating class that wound up as the "Leadership" in High School. Some of them are shady now, some may not be. They were all trained to be progressive and follow their Liberalisms and Cultural Marxisms. It's not good out there whether you're Roseanne, a Tim Allen or in High School. The Globalisms and Devils are closing in on all of us.
I can't dox myself. I mean it was basically who is going to be in the "advanced track." By the time we got to the last few years of high school, it was clear that they were pretty much the same kids and most were liberal or progressive. I do believe they were moulded in part to be that way. They were kind of like a layer of students between the regular students and teachers.
They were no smarter than me but, they were definitely picked for the "track" because of their sensibilities. I could be wrong but don't think so. I was a candidate and remember being rejected but it is fuzzy.
As for the location, I'll say it was a solidly Middle Class Town in NY. Mostly White. There isn't anything special about it except it is the more noticeably woodsy and cozy than the towns between it and NYC. It was actually an "All American City" which I think is actually a bad thing at this point. I'm not saying anyone was abused or anything but I think those that were chosen for Leadership/Go-Betweens with the Administration were definitely nurtured to be Liberal/Progressive, SJW and even Culturally Marxist though the idea of Cultural Marxism has only been recently popularized(again?)
Not sure about when we were younger but when we got to Middle School and HS, it was literally just Leadership... You see where I'm going with that, they were making the leaders the preferred political class of a preferred mould.
