LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE CONTEST WEEK #001 - Judge's review
Here is the review of weekly LANDSCAPE/SEASCAPE CONTEST
Week #001 was unexpectedly full of just amazing entries. Unexpectedly because that was week #001 and obviously have to pass some time for the contest to get well known
So good. Just to point the fact that reviews will not be really long, just would point they most important elements why this or that image was decided to be a winner
Sounds easy, but judging reality is much more complicated :)
1st place by @bluebottlefilms
Amazing blue tones, that's what hit me to press #1 :) Not talking about perfect composition and depth of the scenery - from nearby ice to far away mountain and even more far away clouds
Simply spectacular details. And obviously pretty hard weather conditions while taking this photo also to be counted
2nd place by @richee
Know by myself, there is something mystic in long exposure shots. Changing the reality making the world around us just freeze...
Very nice 2/3 composition and great black and white conversion. Well deserved
3rd place by @guchtere
And yet again, just perfect color grading. And yet again, long exposure effect and mountain and clouds and whatever else.
Great seascape in all respects. And very well done technically

Nice mixture of work colors of sunset and a bit colder colors of the village roofs. Spectacular moment when the mountain from the right getting half lightened by the sun
Very interesting final result

Very wide angle lens, or maybe even fish-eye? Whatever, this round sand formation as a result looks even more rounder bringing a touch of golden ratio to the lower half of the image
Clear blue sky and small boat as additional point of interest.
I wanna teleport to that place.. NOW PLEASE! :D
HM by @harkar
Kind of classical composition and really works very well with peak mountains exactly per center of the frame. Many interesting details, like ships in the harbor.
Clear blue color is very attractive. I'm almost feeling this cold coming from the screen
