Time For Your Weekly Dose Of Heart Felt Thankfulness
The Thank You Economy has turned into a fun and engaging project and every week I'm meeting new people, finding new communities and awesome ways to participate and connect with other Steem users. Last weeks contest was great. We will be giving away at least 10 shares of SBI and the engagement level was phenomenal, with over 122 total comments and 15 entries. We've got some pretty cool stuff going on this week too!!!
I just want to Thank Everyone again who has been participating, and resteeming the posts. This week we have a couple sponsors and additions to the contest. What is The Thank You Economy contest all about?
An Attitude of Gratitude - The Thank You Economy is simply a way to say thank you to someone who has helped you, influenced you or blessed you in some way in the Steem community. It can be tough getting started on Steemit, and the people who have been here for a while realize that. After all they were new at one time as well. What I realized about the Steemit community was there are people helping us new guys all over the place, but what can we really do to show our appreciation back? Not much....
When you are new about all you can do is say "Thank You," maybe give a post a resteem to the 100 followers who are not bots, and a small dust vote. Those things can add up especially if they have a lot of followers. That's where the idea for the Thank You Economy contest arose from I wanted to do more to say thank you.
Maybe I can do more. It might help to give them a little added exposure in a contest and possibly a share of Steem Basic Income, which will pay them over and over as long as they are posting content. I thought there might be others who wanted to do the same, not to mention it's fun.
Just saying thank you to someone opens up all kinds of opportunities to interact with each other. YOU CAN THANK ANYONE, anyone who has helped you and made a difference in your life, you could even thank @ned for helping develop the steemit platform, now if he won it would probably be a waste of a good SBI share, he usually declines payment for his posts.

This week I would like to thank @chrisroberts for being an awesome steemian, he has a number of different ways to express himself on steem and many of them have helped me shake off the shackles of 'niche' blogging and do new and interesting things!
He used to run a daily limmerick post, and would reward users that responded in limmerick. I am the beneficiary of an untold (soon my sql skills will allow me to find out how many!) sum of prizes from that daily contest, and it was the motivation for much of the poetry I have done on steem, including the most recent haiku bot battle. Previously to steem and these interactions, poetry was something that I did privately, hidden in a closet most likely.

Cool, followed you too :) I haven't been posting much for the last few weeks... I'm knee-deep in the official #steemmonsters lore-writing. Our deadline is fast approaching, then I'll be back to songs, sketch comedy and general merriment!
I have a friend who I talked into joining who would be awesome at it. He's been a dungeon crawl, etc. Game Master for years. He wanted to enter one of the big contests but it took a month to get his login, so it was over. I haven't been able to get him interested since. He went on for close to an hour of all kinds of different ideas he had about factions, groups, colors, etc. Basically said it was eerily similar to magic and another game combined....
The community part of steem monsters is awesome. I'm not sure tje actual gameplay is going to match expectations, we'll have to wait and see.
It may not, but most gamers are pretty hardcore so it will probably go pretty well as long as the systems don't glitch, or demand doesn't crash them.

Go around making sure our comments are exactly 17 syllables long. You may have thrown it off by adding periods to the end of each line sequence. @haikubot generally likes to break lines mid-sentence, I've noticed.

I am back again and I love doing this. I am going to get a thanks to someone that is doing a lot of stuff here. He gives good comments back and puts out great content. @blockurator has been a great member here on steemit. He works hard on his post putting out really great content even if it only earns a few dollars. Each time I read his post I feel like I am learning things. From how to write better to info on great crypto project or about things going on here on steemit.
I am in #payitforward #Redfish and #CCC and I will do another CCC bonus post if allowed I didn't last week cause I was already in there didn't know if I could join it twice.

The person that I would like to compliment today would have to be @abh12345, whom you have already mentioned above. This is a person responsible for massive user interaction on a daily basis and the engagement league has only grown and gathered pace since i first came across it. The levels of engagement from it's users every week is on the rise and with more people getting involved this has spread across the whole site. It's people like this who are keeping people involved and interested.

I've seen your name up near the top as well so obviously you keep fairly busy on here. It takes a lot to be in the top 20 and it's only getting harder every week. If you look at the scoring this week compared to last week's, the standard has jumped massively. The score that was third last week would only be 11th now which says a lot about the level of competition.

lol, Well.... I do the random part, coinstant likes to pick his favorite comment, so I just kind of roll with it. It tends to make the contest more interesting and increases the "depth" of the comments...

No only messing. I just enter a lot of these for the fun of it really but anytime that i can pick up a SBI share i will be happy about it. I love the project and the fact that so many people are using them to push engagement and help out other accounts is always a good thing. I would love to have a hundred shares at some stage but until then i will keep trying and commenting. Have fun.
LOL, I'm the same way with SBI, I also like the fact that you actually have to do something to get it to pay you. Yep a hundred + shares would be great, do you use dustsweeper? It has increased my payouts on comments quite a bit.
Ya in fairness that's why sbi is such a great project. I only get a couple of cent per post but I only have about ten share right now. If I can get that up to 100 then it will make a much bigger difference.
I've never used dustsweeper but I have come across it. Most of my posts earn more than the threshold so I don't think that it would actually do anything for me but maybe I have that wrong. As far as I know it balances out your posts so that everything under the threshold earns enough to get payed out. Maybe my posts don't get enough I'm the comments say to get payed and dustsweeper would get them higher.

Dustsweeper, bumps your comments. so if you get an upvote on a comment for .01 you don't actually get paid for it, so it will bump it above the "dust" threshold to it pays you usually about .028

lol, sounds like it is a weighted rotation too.... Mine is too, I'm good as long as it lands on food every few hours. My kids bought me a H'angry shirt for Christmas last year.
LOL the wifey gets 'hangry' from time-to-time, but morphs into an angel after consuming something... anything!
HI @coinsandchains great contest! Forgive the silly question but is this and will this always be a weekly giveaway, If so I would like to add it to my Steemit cheat sheet for redfish to help get them off the ground
Secondly, I would like to nominate @heelsandmuffins I recently came across her profile and I think she's hilarious and is a great addition to Steemit. An SBI subscription would be a great way to get her started on her journey and keep her here, we can't keep losing great authors :)

I'm not real hard to get along with. I'm a technical person who has had to deal with a lot of non-technical users in the past, so I tend to be fairly understanding. It's like the user you ask to reboot their computer, and 10 seconds later they tell you ok it's back on. Then you have to explain that the power button on the monitor does not reboot the computer.... (That has actually happened more than once.)
LOL You have a lot of patenice, most IT guys are very sarcastic and short on time, thats why I love that show the IT crowed where they really take the piss out of them. I am kinda one myself so It hits home pretty hilariously
I guess I'm going to have to look that show up, I don't do a lot of TV. My patience is typically very good, I had to learn a long time ago, not everyone is like me and what seems simple to me, may not be simple to someone else.
I want to use this medium to pour out my heart felt appreciation to @ecoinstant for the huge support he gave to me and I know he will continue to support not only me but others as well. Those who are truly in need of a change.
He's a kind of guy who is everly ready to engage with you intensively, understand your problems and still have fun with you.

There is one man here on steem who commented on one of my first posts and has been there ever since, helping me along the way. His name is @janton. The thing is that is all he does. He helps people. He spends hours of his day just commenting on posts encouraging people and offering help and advice to whoever seeks it. He is a pillar of the steemit community and never leaves anyone hanging. He is doing this the old-fashioned way. No bots, just interacting with everyone he can. He is not based on the material he comments on, he only wants to offer support and answer questions when asked. He is active on discord and a great contributor to our community @steemitbloggers as well. I really hope you consider this hard-working man, so he can get the recognition he deserves. All you have to do is take a look at his profile to see how interactive he is. He has over 16,000 posts!!! Thank you, and good luck to all! Then let me take this time to personally thank @Janton for all the hard work he does out there. We on Steemit are so thankful for what he does each on every day. Keep it up good sir!
My friend, I can wholeheartedly agree with that one for sure. Sir @janton and I converse almost every day, and have developed what I would consider a friendship on steem. Not to mention that he kicks everyone's butts in the Engagement leagues.
