A Favorite Freewrite

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.

I'm sure others would nominate this story, so I'm glad I got to be first:
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@carolkean/grandma-s-banana-bread-day-352-5-minute-freewrite-prompt-what-does-a-banana-taste-like
@carolkean doesn't give us much information about the present lives of her characters, but that's not really necessary. We can all relate to missing the past she's telling us about. And the way she weaves magic into her story is perfect!

Today I am nominating the freewrite for muscle by @reonlouw
https://steemit.com/freewrite/@reonlouw/5-min-freewrite-muscle

Sometimes I think he and I are related because we have such similar thoughts. In this freewrite Reon talks about his non-enjoyment of going to a gym to work out. I'm with him!

He mentions his brother telling him that he just needs to keep going back to get the benefit. Ha!

I tell obese people not to waste their money on a gym membership ALL the time. I say, start working out at home in various gentle ways until you have some consistency. Then if you want to go to a (smelly, germ-infested) gym later, you can do that!

I hadn't seen anything from my friend @byn in a while and she creates this incredible story on the prompt muscle. It starts off as just a normal day after working out, then turns into a story, that I can't get out of my head. This is a must read for yourself story, as I won't ruin it for you. Thanks for visiting us with your story @byn. Miss you. 💕

I found a number of really good freewrites on my rounds today but @mariejay's New Age really stood out.
It is at once both funny and sad. Funny for obvious reasons and sad because it highlights the way in which so many of us fail to stand up for common sense and say it as it is, and instead bend over backwards in an attempt to be agreeable and not to offend.

I loved the dialogue between two people that @karpediem wrote about in her "You Had One Job." As you know, there is so much involved when planning a party and you would think that a person who was given only one job would do it right. Wrong! This was such a fun read and one that I think many of us can relate to.

I might have messed up with timing....
But I would like to recommend a FreeWrite anyways, maybe two haha

I loved @carolkean's surreal freewrite. It was sad and I could almost imagine a future like that. With reminiscing of the good old days, the things we enjoyed, the things we take for granted today. But it ends well, with a feel good. You can read it here:

The other one I would like to recommend is @svasta's Freewrite also on the same prompt. This one got as real as it gets. Many people struggle with quitting smoking. I know someone who told me, "why bother? we are all going to die anyways." Maybe @svasta's story will give you a different perception :). You can read it here:
