Free Delegations for 30 days awarded to....
Never thought finding a few people to give away delegations to would be so hard. The next post will go out tomorrow and I need help spreading the word please! Share it in discord rooms, resteem, and even tag people you think fit the requirements.
All that said I have decided to support these 3 steemians with 4 week delegations. To keep life simple I am delegating from my personal account and then leasing SP from MinnowBooster directly for myself. When that lease ends I will then pull back these delegations. It will act as my personal reminder.

Venezuela seems to be a country filled with people in need of a break and I decided to bend my rules a little here. But I am only bending them, not breaking them so the delegation is for only 25sp instead of 50sp. @rvag5 has also been added to the @minnowbuilder3 account for the next 4 weeks for a free daily upvote. |

| Funny how somethings that someone who has been around for awhile thinks of as automatic aren't understood by the new people. @justjoy has a great writing style, but is just learning steemit...to the point she hadn't claimed all her rewards. While technically there is enough SBD and steem sitting in her account to break the 100sp I decided again to bend the rule and give a 25sp delegation for 4 weeks and she will get a daily upvote from @minnowbuilder3 for the same time frame. |
Minnow Builder Project
Below are people who were added for free daily upvotes to the Minnow Builder project. 3 of them are the winners of delegation and 1 is just a crazy fun steemian that I met on another post of mine when she shared her alter ego with us. Her comment on the post made me check out her account size and she fits perfectly for the Minnow Builder Program.
For those of you that don't know about the Minnow Builder Program it's a program that sells shares for daily upvotes like SBI. 50% of the money goes towards your own daily upvote and then 50% is used for Redfish who we help build their accounts into Minnows. I will be posting this same opportunity tomorrow and hope to find more people to give away delegations and votes to so please keep this in mind as you are out surfing around steemit today. If you run into any plankton that need RC's to function and they are writing original content send them my way.
Discounted Delegations?
If anyone seeing this happens to be willing to give a discounted delegation to support these efforts let me know. I would be willing to lease up to 1000sp for the efforts I want to do here with a rolling 200sp delegation for 4 weeks each, then the 1 week downtime. That means 1000sp is tied up at all times. Sure that word will spread about what I'm doing here and finding people to delegate to will become easy each week. I open to offers and ideas on how to make this better.

In my wallet I am advised that I delegate steem power to help new steemians. Could you please explain this to me? How does it happen, where does it go?
How do I power up my earnings as you said I should? Doesn't look obvious to me. (I need a smiley face emoji here!)

No you shouldn't be delegating anything right now. Leave that to those who have spare steem power. I honestly don't feel anyone should delegate any SP until they have at least 500sp to keep as this gives you the voting slider bar. This allows you to vote with a lower percentage then 100% and that allows you to spread the love a little.
If you have 525sp the most I would consider delegating at that time is 25. I feel it's a mistake for smaller accounts to give up power early on.
As for powering up, you need to go into your wallet. Look at the balance of steem you have and click on the balance. You will get a drop down menu. Click on Power Up
You will be able to select how much you want to power up.
and click on power up.
Next you will get a screen that lets you verify everything. Make sure you have the correct amount and then click OK.
On the next screen you will need to enter your Active Password. Make sure you are only using this password when you are on Steemit in your wallet or on a trusted connection like steemconnect.
Once you click "Sign In" your steem will be converted to Steem Power.
That is enough for one lesson. After you get this figured out as and I'll show you how to change your SBD into Steem.

Tomorrow I will be posting again. It is up to the person that wants the delegation to actually submit an entry following the rules that will be outlined on the post. Simple process, but I'm not chasing down people to give away money...if they want it they need to ask.

You can see in this thread where someone couldn't figure out how to power up their steem and the reply I gave. This question might seem stupid to some people, but to others they will read that and finally understand part of the complexities of steemit. This place isn't simple and some parts come naturally to some people while those same parts are complicated others. No question is stupid except the one you don't ask.
Greetings friend @thedarkhorse. I find your help project interesting. I believe that this is the basis to keep our platform constantly growing. I am particularly interested in supporting publications with cryptotendence-oriented content. I do not know what criteria you use to select your delegates.
Recently I started a similar initiative and the response I received was so overwhelming that I decided to increase the margin of delegations. This made me very eliz and increased my commitment to my followers.

The Eye just got a 100% vote from me. Not much, but every bit helps.
I think that after a few weeks of this running people will start to realize what is going on and finding enough accounts to give away 200sp in delegations will become fairly easy. Something has to give and until the RC pools are coded in this was the next best thing.
With RC pools @pifc will be in a good position to allow others to use their RC's as it doesn't come close to using all of them. Add in the @minnowbuilder accounts and there is a ton of wasted RC power sitting there doing nothing each day.
Should it really be up to us, the community to fix this crappy RC thing though? Its discouraging new people to continue because they cant post or even comment.

So while it shouldn't be up to us I am more then happy to try and keep the ship afloat until better solutions can be made. So I'm doing my part to help steemit as a whole with this efforts.
@pifc is doing it's part each week with the curation contest (BTW, some great people there that deserve support) and giving some added attention to smaller accounts.
Then @minnowbuilder accounts are helping support plankton to build them into Minnows and have already had a few people become minnow which is great!
and I've added the free delegation push from my personal account.
Currently this is all I can do personally. It's already a ton of work and hope that some others will step up and add some support in these efforts. Been getting some nice votes for @pifc lately, but honestly that account should have 50,000sp to really make an impact and we aren't even close....lol.
