Steem Basic Income is a social experiment to bring a basic income to as many Steemians as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Steem Basic Income is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.

FAQ Contest
It's been 25 days since we kicked off our FAQ contest, and what a great contest it was! We had a total of 25 people score contest points, and all of them scored enough to at least win 1 SBI! We will be compiling the best responses into our new FAQ, so in this post we will focus on the winners, instead of sharing their responses!

A Note on Scoring
The most important thing to notice is our unusual scoring. You won up to 7 points for each accurate response, but you could get 3 points each for scoring the responses others provided. A few people figured out what that means: You could get a lot of points by scoring responses... even more than you could get for providing responses.
We had 16 categories (and 2 bonus categories), so you could score a potential 112 points for providing perfect responses. But since we received 139 accurate responses in those 18 categories, you could potentially earn 363 points for scoring the responses left by others. That's a potential top score of 475 points.
With that breakdown, you can see why the leaderboard was dominated by a small coterie that religiously scored all the responses left by others!
Response Quality Bonus
One of the things that we noticed as we tabulated the scores was that top quality responses invoked more scores. In effect, a great response would inspire more people to score it and share how great it was!
We decided to reward additional bonus units (above the 500 bonus unit prize pool) based on an adjusted leader board that included extra points for each clarity score a response received. Since the reward pool distribution was already announced as relative, we froze the reward distribution based on the original scoring system, then recalculated it with bonus points.
Everyone that would have earned more bonus units under the modified system will receive those in addition to the bonus units under the original scoring. This way their extra contest points don't take any prizes away from the others in the leader-board.

Do they ever! It took me more than two weeks just to tabulate all the responses and scores, but they went through and scored each other on a very short time-line!

Well we really did not get any infographics submissions, so we might do another specifically around that in a couple of months. Aside from that... we shall see.

It will be a few months probably. The next big push after the new FAQ is released will be translations.
