Today our family is cooking cherry jam. We do everything together. Our son Daniil always helps us in almost all basic home activities. Yesterday he helped me to collect cherries and today he learns how to cook cherry jam.
In this video I tried to show all the stages of cherry jam preparation.
I think in modern life, it is very important for the children to take part in basic home activities, learn how they can help their parents. It makes family strong. It helps a child to grow a good person, to know how to share energy with family, to feel balance between taking and giving. This is how our grandmothers and grandfathers lived, without constant eager for some useless products, with strong passion for simple life joys.
We made this cherry jam today, simply because we have cherry tree in our garden and it is full of cherries every year. Of course we eat them fresh also as the berries are really sweet and tasty, but there are too many of them to eat them all fresh. So, we do this jam, a bit as a matter of love and gratitude for our wild cherry tree, because if we leave the berries on the tree they will spoil in a week, and this would only mean that Nature was giving us something and we didn't take it. As in the whole life, when Universe, God, Circumstances (you can put whatever you better like) gives you a chance you should take it and use it for the best.
