Sinigang na baboy

Sinigang na baboy or sinigang na pork is one of the most popular and best main dish here in the Philippines. It is a soury soup which is made out of meaty pork. The kick of sour in the soup will going to give you a big appetite in eating, while the hot chili flavor adds more taste to it. There are lots of other meat that can be used in cooking this sinigang. It can either be chicken, pork, shrimp, fish or beef, but this time we are going to talk about using a pork meat.

The way of cooking this dish is really simple. We just need to prepare all of the ingredients, like pork meat, gabi or taro, onion, raddish, kangkong leaves, string beans, green chili, tamarind as souring agent. At first, we need to simmer the meat, onion and gabi for 30 minutes, once its tender, you can add the raddish string beans, green chili and wait for another 10 minutes before adding the last ingredients which is the tamarind, then add salt or fish sauce as a flavoring. Your sinigang na baboy is ready to serve. You can now enjoy eating.


This is the other way of cooking this sinigang na baboy, but what I shared above is the easiest and my best way of cooking it.
