Elysium Rising - Privilege, Poverty and Smart Sustainability

The corruption that has come to roost in California is rapidly fleecing the golden state of its last nuggets of wealth and is actively trampling on the Constitution for the United States of America. Perhaps the most vocal Californian casting light on this process is Grindall61, an advocate for government transparency and accountability. His YouTube videos cast light on the top-down authoritarianism that has insinuated itself into Californian government in the name of sustainability and that is transforming the entire framework within which human society is allowed to operate in the state.

What Grindall documents in his videos is the labyrinthine and intentionally surreptitious decision making processes that enable government employees to live high on the hog at the tax-payers' expense, the egregiously wasteful government spending on so-called "public" works, and the active subversion of individual rights and Constitutional law taking place in California. Having followed his channel for almost two years, it occurred to me that what Grindall is really documenting is the transformation of California into a real-life version of the movie Elysium.

In the movie Elysium, the privileged have created a breakaway orbital-based civilization known as Elysium while the rest of humanity has been subjugated by an unelected corporatocracy that uses robotic management and enforcement to extract wealth and labor. Elysium has the best of everything: food, technology, resources, luxury, security, weaponry and most importantly in context of the film, healthcare. The rest of humanity lives in abject squalor, with the protagonist, a skilled laborer, struggling to survive by creating and maintaining the robots that enable the privileged to continue dominating the world. When the lowly factory worker hero is given a lethal dose of radiation at his job, he turns the tables on the entire system.

In Grindall's video below, we are presented with the reality of Southern California today, where we are confronted by the stark reality of a sterile dystopia of ultra-rich luxury just a few hundred meters from absolutely soul-crushing poverty. It is like watching a scene from Elysium come to life, the only significant difference being that both sides of the equation are still here on earth. The sheer hubris on display is appalling for its complete absence of anything remotely moral, ethical or humane. It is a slap in the face for anyone who believes there is anything remotely like accountability for the rich and the politically connected.

Keep in mind, the actual disparity between wealth and poverty is much, much worse than can be seen in the video above. Massive tent cities have sprouted up all over California (and the country), ultimately spawned by the inflationary debt-based monetary system of the Federal Reserve and the predatory lending practices of the big commercial banks which have resulted in millions of foreclosures nationally since 2008. In California this has been exacerbated by the constantly increasing tax burden imposed to push the state towards the sustainability goals of Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030.

The video below of the Santa Ana River Trail, where one can see luxury condos with tent cities literally in their back yards, looks like something directly out of the third world. It is horrifying to see what was once the most prosperous state in the union reduced to a primitive caricature of a dystopian science fiction movie like Elysium. Corrupt government mismanagement, bottomless oligarchic sociopathy and the predatory nature of the monetary system has literally created a dystopia in our back yard. The result is what you see here:

For a little icing on the cake of comparison, and which may make the insane prodigality of Grindall's video above seem reasonable, consider the hyperbolic wealth extraction by predatory government agencies and profligate spending on display in the video below. Keep in mind, everything you see was purchased and is maintained by tax money that could, if it had to be extracted from the population at all, been much better expended to help those people living in tent cities all over the state:

After following these developments for some time, it is clear that this state of affairs and what it is snowballing towards is not just the consequence of incompetent governance or human error. As Grindall argues time and again in his videos, what is happening in California is an intentional restructuring of the infrastructure and legal framework in order to reengineer society without the informed consent of the population. Grindall backs up his arguments with the proposed or implemented legislation on the sustainability agenda and by recording and releasing the government meetings where it is decided.

If the sustainability agenda (Agenda 21 & Agenda 2030) continues being implemented as foreseen by the legislation being pushed in California, the only people that will be able to avoid living under the extreme austerity conditions imposed will be the super wealthy. The rest of the population will essentially be herded into smart stack-and-pack megacities, deprived of independent motorized transport, subjected to water and electricity rationing, and increasingly dependent on the largesse of the state to maintain even a modest standard of living. Smart megacities and a population deprived of privacy and property rights appears to be the end goal of the sustainability agenda in California.

Planned is a system in which human behavior is managed and rationed by a smart distribution system as determined and designed by an exempt centralized technocracy. As even the delusional advocate of such cities, Ida Auken (a Danish parliamentarian) notes in her fantasist love letter from the dystopian future, "Once in a while I get annoyed about the fact that I have no real privacy. Nowhere I can go and not be registered. I know that, somewhere, everything I do, think and dream of is recorded. I just hope that nobody will use it against me." What she is describing is an urban prison that people are conditioned to view as freedom, nothing more, nothing less.

That is exactly the kind of cognitive malfunction one can expect to arise from the delusional sadomasochistic fetishism that is the ideology of coercive collectivism: subjugation is good, freedom is bad. Advocates of this ideology believe that if everyone would just obey without having to be informed about or consciously agree with their plans, the world would be a better place - as long as it is their ideology that is in control, of course. After all, as Hasan Ikhrata, Southern California Association of Governments' Executive Director, explains on tape, "In a great nation like ours you can't let people do what they want."

In the movie Elysium, a single impoverished and dying man armed with primitive technology is able to triumph over a breakaway civilization armed to the teeth with a total surveillance grid and private robotic armies. Meanwhile in the real world, humanity is being sold a benevolent Marxist utopia of smart sustainable megacities devoid of privacy or freedom where everyone is happy - controlled by a total surveillance grid, with robotically enforced austerity, of course. What could possibly go wrong?

"Environmentalism" is a political ideology--not moral and not scientific, certainly. The moral and scientific idea is "stewardship" as in wisely using resources, plus the freedom-sustaining ideas of private property and individual liberty/responsibility. California is already unrecognizable as anything close to the republican form of government guaranteed to every state in our Constitution.

This is bold work =)

The misery experienced by Californians are self-inflicted wounds. The people elected these mentally defective ideologues into office, conned by their promise of egalitarian utopia that inflamed the mob's sense of envy against their betters. That certain "democratic" nations and provinces suffer from self-inflicted poverty is not a major concern, as pain is God, or the universe, instructing men of their folly and an impetus towards change. Poverty did not make the dregs into Marxist loons, the dregs' Marxist lunacy brought about their poverty.

The tragedy of the Californian Marxist disaster is not that the dregs will starve and die, as in Venezuela, of self-inflicted wounds, but that these dregs will metastasize to other fertile plains to burn it into another desert. The US plans on building a wall against Mexico; they ought to consider building a wall against socialist provinces within their country, so that the cancer of Marxism does not spread to other areas.
