Straight from the Cow’s Mouth
The holy spring that is being so gracefully attended by the tree in my last photo.
This is where we have been getting our drinking water for the past month. Next to this is a very special temple dedicated to Rama. On the hillside below is a large stone lined basin with stronger flows of water from the spring that is used for bathing. All overlooking the ocean and Gokarna Beach.
As you can see it is guarded by a ring of snakes. These snakes are much larger in the flesh.
It’s possible that drinking from this spring everyday is part of the reason for my growing affinity for cows. Moo.
