My wife has been really busy weaving! Check it out.

I’ve been so impressed with my wife’s new passion (obsession) with weaving. She is really learning fast and trying out some cool new things.

Here is just one of her basic straight weaves, but it turns out really cool with the way the yarn changes colour.

Recently she’s been experimenting with some patterns and designs. She did this by weaving just half way across with one color and then meeting it on the other side with another colour.

Here’s another cool thing she tried by just putting in a thin strip of this thicker wool she’s calls rovings, which I think means that it’s more loose fibers that aren’t yet spun into yarn.

The only reason I knew that is because she is also experiment with spinning yarn as well!

She’s really getting pretty good pretty quick. But that just means it’s time for an upgrade and we’re driving down south this weekend to pick up an ever bigger 4 shaft loom.
