The Big Bang, From a Conversation With @captainj
I appreciate, @captainj, so much, the thought you put into that reply. I believe your heart and mind are full of His Word by the power of His Spirit.
So... I want to weigh in about creation and the big bang. I will use scripture but not read it to any of you that might be following along. I believe the power to understand the Word of God comes from the pages Themselves to us. Not a steemit/social media commentary. I encourage you to read it for yourself.
Stay with me. Concerning then, the creative power of God, being his Word. One of the earliest form of the Gospel mentioning Him was "Let there be Light". Of course John 1 says Jesus is Himself those Words. As sure as God spoke and the world and all of us in it have been created. The Word of God was with him in the beginning. Nothing has been created or done without Him.
So then, the resurrection, His resurrection, mentioned by @captainj was proclaimed that same moment in time as light came from darkness. Life from death. And also we can read in the very first chapter of Genesis that the earth was ”without form and was void". And, very important, there was the Spirit of God "hovering over the waters." On this, the first day of creation, we are shown what modern day science has just recently, in the modern era, "discovered". This is what they say, that the earth was not originally in the form it is now and inevitably they have determined that life came from the water.
Now how did Moses know that? Science hadn't weighed in on that 4500 years ago!
And it was, of course a miracle that he knew that, as he was writing the first five books of the Bible. Oh yes. We do call it the Word of God. Because the Bible itself, created the heavens and the earth. That is how powerful your Bible can be. How can the Bible create something, you ask? Because God Spoke and the earth and all things in it were made. The scripture you can hold in your hand is the Word of God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Gospel. On the first moment of creation. John chapter 1.
And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness doesn't understand it. Evil was not created by God. It, evil, doesn't understand Him. It doesn't know him. Evil knows of God but has no relationship with Him. Evil then, is the absence of God. The same thing science has "discovered" about heat and cold. Cold is simply the absence of heat. But, it contains heat. It's how heat pumps warm the air in your house to 70 degrees when it's 40 degrees outside. Cold contains heat. And on the same "scientific" discovery. When the cold comes in contact the heat, condensation forms. Water! And if you want more "scientific discovery", light is vibration. Movement, hovering, over the waters. And as has been "discovered" E=MC-squared. C, being the speed of light. Constant. Always there when you need Him. God's Holy Spirit is always reaching out to the creation. Constantly.
And we are back. Darkness contains light. Not the other way around. Let's not be confused. So, we have one light, the sun. Which rules the day and the moon and stars that rule the night and the seasons. The sun corresponds to Life. And science "discovered" sunlight is vital for life. And moon light and stars changing their appearance and position. Mark the seasons. Planting and Harvest and such. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. New moon. Full moon. Crescent moon. Harvest moon.
God did all this so we would know him. Even if you're a scientific person. He wants a relationship with you. His plan all along was to deliver us from evil. To bring us unto Him.
Movement from one cold, dark existence to the warmth and sunshine of His love. He sent His Son to be our Savior and His Spirit to walk beside us. To not be cold and in the dark. He fills the room with Light and warms our hearts during the coldest of seasons.
Some doubt that "Family" like desire because bad things happen to most of us at one time or another. But let me help you remember. Evil is present even when light is there. As it is said the night is darkest right before the dawn. God is your Creator. He is the Light of the world.
