Why I Still Can't Stand EDM - A Quick Rant

In my opinion, it all started with David Guetta. A new genre was found. People call it EDM. I call it screeching synths. To make EDM (screeching synths). Just take a microphone, and record your cat clawing on a chalkboard. Then add some harmonies, and amplify it until the distortion ruins your monitors.

Here's a great example, of how to produce this wonderful new house music.

Before these clowns started making music on laptops, we had real house music. Listen to the difference. Why does a song produced 20 years ago, sound 100 times better than the junk coming out today? Shouldn't technology make music better, or is new music a reflection of a culture in decline?
