The beauty of building abandoned miniatures
In one of my last postings I had the pleasure to show you the picturesque side of model building. But many artists decided to go a different way. The way of decay.
In todays post I want you to present the outstanding work of two of my idols in terms of model building.
Both artists are true masters in their genre of Abandoned Miniatures
The first one I want to introduce is Eugene Tur from Ufa, Russia.
His work targets mostly the time after the second world war in Russia.
Lucky me had the chance to meet him once at an exhibition in Europe.
There once lived a tram
The Workhorse
Rosie & the Beetle
The second artist I want you to know is Andreas Rousounelis a freelance artist from Athens, Greece.
His work mainly shows old buildings and vehicles. But also some representations of war fields can be found in his portfolio.
Never had the chance to meet him in person, but his works inspires me a lot.

Those are two very talented individuals. I didn't even knew this kind of modeling even existed. Such fantastic pieces!
Thanks for showcasing their works, @wirago!
Hey, @wirago.
I guess it would be easy to think of model construction for railroads or whatever else they apply to be pristine replicas of functional or habitable buildings or devices. But I can see here that there's bound to be places a train will pass that has been abandoned or fallen in disrepair, and that not all can look like it was just built or made the day before.
Abandoned trams seem to be a common theme here. :)
This is all amazing. And congratulations on completing or nearing completion of stage one. Very exciting. :)
