October 3, 1924, 95 years ago Carmen Cecilia Gavidia was born, widely known as Malú del Carmen. Besides from having been an extraordinary singer, at the time when on radio was sung live, accompanied by a guitarist or a complete orchestra; besides from being a radio, theater, television and film actress, she was my mother.

I had the great pleasure of being able to share with her until just last year, when she left us following the footsteps of my father, who had died just six months before.

Today I wanted to remember her with some images of her in her theatrical medium and singing, and I realized that I really should write a more extensive tribute, which I promise to do soon.

3 de octubre de 1924, hace 95 años nació Carmen Cecilia Gavidia, conocida ampliamente como Malú del Carmen. Aparte de haber sido una extraordinaria cantante, en la época en que en la radio se cantaba en vivo, con acompañamiento de un guitarrista o de una orquesta completa; aparte de haber sido una actriz de radio, teatro, televisión y cine, fue mi madre.

Tuve el inmenso gusto de poder compartir con ella hasta apenas el año pasado, que se fue siguiendo los pasos de mi padre, quien había fallecido apenas seis meses antes.

Hoy quise recordarla con algunas imágenes de ella en su medio teatral y cantando, y me dí cuenta que realmente debería escribir un homenaje más extenso, el cual prometo hacer pronto.

3. Oktober 1924, vor 95 Jahren wurde Carmen Cecilia Gavidia geboren, allgemein bekannt als Malú del Carmen. Abgesehen davon, dass sie eine außergewöhnliche Sängerin war, als es live im Radio gesungen wurde, begleitet von einem Gitarristen oder einem kompletten Orchester; abgesehen davon, dass sie Radio-, Theater-, Fernseh- und Filmschauspielerin war, war sie meine Mutter.

Ich habe das große Vergnügen gehabt, mit ihr bis letztes Jahr teilen zu können, als sie uns auf den Spuren meines Vaters verließ, der erst sechs Monate zuvor gestorben war.

Heute wollte ich mich mit einigen Bildern von ihr in ihrem Theater und Gesang Medium erinnern, und mir wurde klar, dass ich wirklich eine umfassendere Hommage schreiben sollte, die ich verspreche, bald zu tun.
