FIRST CRICKET WORLD CUP IN 1975....

in #cricket6 years ago

Cricket is my favorite sport. Match any group, if I do not have any useful work, then at that time I have to see cricket. I will give some information about the 1975 Cricket World Cup today.

The 1975 Cricket World Cup was the first Cricket World Cup. It was held in England in June 1975 and included two weeks of one-day co-ordination played in 60-over-a-side. Some rules were made, in which each group will play with all three groups. The top two teams from both groups would progress to the semifinals. India selected in group “B” against England, New Zealand and East Africa and a team of cricketers from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, and Northern Rhodesia.

The Indian team was also included along with spinner Srinivasaraghavan Venkataraghavan and Sunil Gavaskar, Gundappa Viswanath and Farooq's Indian Spin Quartet, Bishan Singh and Venkataraghavan partners. The group was nominally unpredictable in ODI cricket, who had played only one-day matches in England in their first ODI during their heavy tour through England. India's first match, the main glass match against England in Lord's in London. In that chaos, England had scored 335 runs out of 60 overs, and India had scored 202 runs in 132/3 of 60 overs, which actually influenced the estimated results of making semi-finals. This match was a national influence of Gavaskar for India, especially, for all its harsh innings, from all sides, estimated from all sides. Actually, even today, it is not quite clear why he played slowly in that match.

India played following Africa in Headingley in Leeds, and the fast pacer Madan Lal (3/15) won the match due to being taught to stop the bowling alley, which defeated East Africa by 120 runs. Chasing the objective, Gavaskar improved for his strong innings and scored 65 runs off 86 balls with 65 runs. India's last match in the group system was a match against New Zealand at Old Trafford in Manchester. Batting first, India scored 230 runs. As always, the Indian bowlers were completely defeated by Glenn Turner, who scored 114 runs on 177 bundles of the second century of the competition, in light of the fact that New Zealand pursued the purpose of no problem. Unfortunately, India escaped from the competition and remained in third place in the 1 win and 2 loss.

Please tell your suggestion in this post and I will try to cover more information in my next blog.

A great trip down memory lane. It is amazing when you look at the scoring rates in those games that sides batting 60 overs are making similar scores to teams playing just 20 overs now. What do you think has changed since then? Have batsmen just gotten better?
