Boots and Loots: Running Circle Around Tokens and Coins

There wasn't a lot of #news in #crypto today, but the news we've got is hot. Like fire in a glass tube. Let's see if we can cool it down.

Crypto News

Let's start with Coinbase. They're getting serious about being a regulated broker-dealer, so they went and bought Keystone Capital.

#Circle is another big banana looking to be a regulated entity. They're so serious they're applying for a banking license so they can lend crypto.

And #Nasdaq finally got up the gumption to tell Long Blockchain to just take a hike. Or fly a kite. Whatever they said, they said it with a boot in the seat of the pants and sent those suckers sailing.

Binance Coin rallied. In fact, BNB hit a record high against Bitcoin. Everyone's celebrating. Except Bitcoin.

Speaking of Binance, the exchange finally got around to opening a bank account on Malta.

And Parity hit a critical bug, so #Ethereum is telling everyone to update it. Shouldn't they call the Orkin man?

Crypto Analysis

The lead off hitter for the analysis team is Coin Telegraph with an awesome, in-depth look at some of the top crypto payments systems. You know, like BitPay, Coinbase, et. al. And then they ask which one will replace Visa? My take: All of them, but it won't be overnight.

Want a funny? U.S. regulators are concerned that shady ICO issuers are running across the border with big bags of loot.

A new report suggests major crypto exchanges have insufficient background checks.

imToken now is big enough to hold $35 billion. Sort of makes me want to date a rich girl.

One of my favorite reads today was a good look at South Korea's richest tycoons going nuts for crypto.

Down in Venezuela, they've starting buying Bitcoin again.
