Ethereum (ETH) Litecoin (LTC) XRP and Tezos (XTZ) today's big crypto winners as bitcoin (BTC) pauses
Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP and Tezos are today's big winners in cryptoland.
Tezos is the best performer, up 23% after its foundation made a long expected announcement.
With bitcoin steady around $8,000 as the good news keeps rolling in, money has started flowing into top altcoins, creating a sea of green.
In fact bitcoin has been slightly lower for most of the day, only in the past hour turning green.
Ethereum began the altcoin rally after, currently 15% higher at $238, according to coinmarketcap.
It was perhaps helped along by comments from co-founder Joseph Lubin who said at ConsenSys in New York that in 18 to 24 months Ethereum will be 1,000 times more scalable.
His remarks are hung around the success of the Ethereum 2.0 upgrades which are stepping stone to a full proof of stake protocol.
Lubin and Song bet on Ethereum's future prospects
Joe Lubin also made a bet with Jimmy Song that Ethereum will start gaining traction with dapps.To win Ethereum needs to have 15 dapps running with 10,000 daily actives and 100k monthly in six out of any 12-month period between now and 23 May 2023.
If Lubin wins, Song will owe him 810.8 ETH, while Song gets 69.74 BTC from Lubin if he wins.
Litecoin has just broken through the $100 barrier for a 12% gain, Tezos is 23% higher at $1.70 and XRP at o.4339 for an 8% improvement in the past 24 hours.

Tezos Foundation has just voted to start making effortrs to support development and to explain to the crypto community how they can get involved in voting plus providing tools for the ecosystems fundraiser contributors.
There wil also be a helpdesk opening soon to guide fundraiser contributors through the activation process.
