👉 MoneyGram using XRP will be a bigger deal than Facebook Libra
Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, says the company is considering a number of investments and takeovers after a $30 million partnership with MoneyGram in June this year.
As reported by Yahoo! Finance, the Ripple agreement with MoneyGram, the world's second largest money transfer company, has led to the purchase of a 10% stake in the company, with an option to increase the investment by a further $20 million over two years.
MoneyGram began using Ripple's xRapid product on August 3 - a key condition of the $30 million agreement - as revealed by MoneyGram CEO Alex Holmes during a conversation about profits in the second quarter early this month.
